@Root Haha you're funny!

@jesustricks My primary source of income, yes. Had to work at lower rates to compete with others at the beginning, but after my number of reviews/ratings increased, getting new jobs became easy.
-
@M1sf3t Good luck! An important tip is to bid on freshly posted projects, as employers start chatting with one or more freelancers within the first 10-15 minutes or so. If you see a project posted few hour ago, the chance of getting that job is minuscule as you can assume that the employer is already chatting with someone. There are exceptions, but only for a small number of cases, such as where the number of bids are low (complicated projects) or the employer leaves after posting and returns later.
-
@M1sf3t Well, avoid jobs posted by employers from Asian and African countries, and before bidding hover over employer's ratings to see how many jobs they posted and how many reviews they receieved. If the numbers are close, then it means they are serious employers and not scammers or trouble makers. Also make sure that they have near-perfect ratings (4.8+). Only accept a job after they setup full milestone for the project and not partial. Feel free to ask if you've any other questions. :)
-
@M1sf3t Well nothing like what's going on right now, using Freelancer for more than 10 years.
-
@alexbrooklyn so the operations folks are sleeping then. :/

This was my nick on IRC for a long time (from 2000), then started using it everywhere else where I needed to register.
Ekushey means 21st in Bengali, and there's a backstory to this which you can read on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... if interested.
