Time is a valuable resource. If you can afford to waste it, go use Linux.

@peacWhis This is main reason why I switch to Linux. I was trying to repair broken update but somehow it won't install one from 2012 and spending two fucking days to decrease number of not installed updates from 21 to 4. Linux has some disadvantages, but for my case it's far better than Windows (same software works with less usage of resources by OS without rolling back updates and without BSOD)

Windows is honestly more broken than my Fedora system is. I spent an hour setting it up, ~95% of that was downloading the iso. Tinkering around is usually not in my focus; I use KDE Plasma and didn't had a problem with it like ever: very intuitive, customizable(which i don't heavily use, only for setting some keybinds and a wallpaper) and stable. Installing software takes between 2 commands and 3 minutes of ddg'ing (+ 2 hours of compiling lol).

The only thing that wastes large amounts of time is explaining why using Linux doesn't waste days of your otherwise well-spent lifespan.

    Haha... no.

I'm working on a script which (read: still want to work on) sets up my entire computer within like half an hour (installing all software, copying ssh keys etc etc etc).

When I first met it (linux) it took me less than half an hour to find the usual things and less than an hour to learn the basics of the commandline. (same for my parents without the commandline)

Well, it *is* a waste of time to use what you can't understand, there is no way you could use it well enough. It's also a good thing you know your own limits :D

Linux may be good for servers and such, but for day to day desktop tasks, it's annoying when you're trying to accomplish a simple task but you're hindered by a stupid glitch.
