And then you wrap that in a function named "Greet()".

I can relate, although tbh I kind of enjoy my "workspace" at home more and more.
Starting to hate middle management popping in un announced every f***ing hour, the trash coffee and office politics mixed with gossip and thrash talking.
My space at home is at least quiet with good coffee. -
Cool
-
@Root congrats on passing 60k tho!
-
@jdebs good question. I nearly threw a tantrum after I realized he went home
-
@cmarshall10450 *shoot back a pint of jameson blended* dude you have no idea the things ive done.
-
@PrivateGER thanks, yeah that’s what I’ve been doing when I’ve had the time. Most of the time tho all I can do is hack something together to please the customer. When they want it done asap.
-
+1 for awesome taste in music!
But yeah, those kind of meetings realy kills the energy. I always feel drained after having long ass meetings like that, I Wonder if marketing people feed of the enegry of those listening, like vampires. -
I like how alot of people that I've mentioned the whole "big tech companies hoard your data" to usualy knows about it, but is just to lazy to opt-out. Alot of times they get angry at the company but never bothers to opt-out.
-
@Techno-Wizard No, its really annoying. Seems like everytime there's an update to windows. There's something new that breaks. And Win10 has been a nightmare to deal with.
-
I need to add this, another guy tried to fix it like 2 years ago but he gave up. Then there's this old dude at the place who is like the "you need to consult him on everything regarding old project, cause he's the gatekeeper" type who has been meening to fix it for years. But he never does. And a collegue straight up told me: "try to keep it on the down low from (zenmaster guru) that your gonna fix the software, he gets really defensive about it". Like... What?
-
Thanks for The help guys! 😀
-
Worst part of the new job is that I like it. Better pay and better conditions. But I ll be working as a IT support the first couple of months.
-
The day that happens is the day I resign. Can't go anywhere from there.
-
@devTea oh shit. No leave. Run.
-
@HollowKitty Same, I can understand that they dont want to get asked the same questions thats been asked about the N'th time without research. But I've seen some realy good questions been asked where the user has done the research and formulated the question in a good way, gotten the ever stamp of "possible duplicate?".
-
@devTea That's a risk ofc. However it could also work out and you get a better position, better salary and an awesome experience. :)
-
Sounds like you could benefit from it.
-
@turbod im starting to regret ever asking you guys about this X'D
-
@irene oh god, I can feel my eyes burning just by thinking of it 😂
-
@irene dark pink borders with bright pink background and white font.
-
@fuckwit Yeah ive seen it in vscode atleast.
-
@iAmNaN Yeah, that's What we did eventuelly. We purged the drive and did a clean install. She got a bit pissed tho cause she had to reinstall everything. But it went Well in The end :)
-
@iAmNaN Kingston, and no, she used minitool partition wizard.
-
@iAmNaN it's the second or third time, a relative just switched from a hdd to ssd on her system and called me panicing over that her pc wouldnt boot. Mind you this was a clean install of win 10. So I went overe there and checked it out, and apparently there was no uefi launcher (or whatever) on the disk. So just to try, I tried Win10 start repair.
-
@iAmNaN worse, 10.
-
@RantSomeWhere not my coworkers, they work at a diffrent company. But thanks anyway!
-
@Jilano Yeah, gonna be interresting to follow and see What happens.
-
@KiDoDa Yeah, they did, but they've been with the company for like 6 years now. The one I talked to said that when he joined he was just out of school and just signed, and now he regretted that direly.
A direct quote : "Yeah, I read it back then and didn't think that much about it. I didn't remember it until they brought it up. And I was like, holy shit, are you serious?" -
@Jilano I can say so much as it is in Europe. Aparantly the one who got the fine was the one who came up with the idea of the software, that's why he got fined. Still tho, its bs.
