ACF is great!

@dalastTomCruise You can download a stripped down version of Bootstrap if you just need the grid system. I remember there being a list of features you could select or deselect before you downloaded it. Couldn't find the link right now, but you should be able to find it by googling a bit.

@maltedMilk I seriously considered naming one of my two cats Waffle.
Ultimately went with Stark and Sherlock instead 😎 -
Such a great #outOfContextTag
-
@kp15 Well, at least you're honest 😁

Valve has no control over the developers of those games though.
And when you decide to pay for a game in early access, you're accepting the risk of developers abandoning the game.
Besides, the money is supposed to fund the development of the game. If not enough people choose to support the game, the developer might run out of money, and is forced to abandon the game in order to get a regular day job.
As far as price inequality goes, it's really annoying that there's regional differences. I guess some of it comes down to local taxes and tariffs.
Have you tried sites like www.g2a.com or www.kinguin.com? You can buy steam keys a lot cheaper there from resellers in regions with low Steam prices. -
@CWins IE 11 and Edge handle styling a little bit differently, meaning you have two browsers from Microsoft that can't agree on how a website shoulf look...
-
Because HP makes shitty laptops, that's why.
I know this because I also have a shitty laptop from HP. -
@CWins Nope.
-
I do that with tabs in Chrome both on my phone and on my PC.
-
@nicholai Not sure which sentence you're referencing.
-
@resdac Tried this now, you are completely right.

When accepting a job with a certain amount of stock, there's always the danger that you can't sell your shares unless you've worked there for x number of years or something like that.
-
@amahlaka You and me both, dude.
At least we're not alone in that circle of fuckery. -
Could be that they have a ton of snippets which are triggered by typing certain codes.
Like typing "SCRC12" to make a section with a container, a row and a bootstrap column.
Having an entire workflow consisting of snippets seems like it'd be quite the hassle managing all those "codes". -
@nerdynerd Well, a low level language is assembly language.

@runfrodorun I'm with you on the principals of Facebook. They do good work with React, and they're likely to last for many years, but there's been a lot of flak against the company recently, and that will probably not change much.
The technology side of Facebook seems interesting, whereas working with support or moderating sounds horrible. -
@nerdynerd As far as I know, Facebook has had a good growth rate over the years, and it's not a company that'll disappear any time soon.
Might be better than Uber in terms of job security.
In terms of salaries, I'd go with Facebook's offer.
Stocks are too volatile IMO, and a company that's doing well financially could still have a low stock value.
However, check to see if you can find any statistics for how often people have actually gotten their bonus, and make sure you know the full requirements for getting the bonus. -
I think you should ask yourself which company you find the most interesting, assuming you will be doing the exact same thing at both companies.
Is it the same salary, with only a difference in amount of stock? -
My S7 automatically lowers the screen brightness to the lowest setting when there's 5% battery left.
Happened once while I was out walking, and I thought my phone had died. Got really annoyed, because I thought the battery was starting to fail after only 9 months.
Took me a couple of minutes before I realized that the screen brightness was just at the lowest setting... -
@azshliar You need this on your desk then: https://themightymug.com
