@Kodeus webfacing? I'd rather use AS400 directly than that.
-
@Zeu5 I have to deal with crappy Java 1.5 bugs that happen because people (including me) forget that some new stuff doesn't work on old versions.
-
Just wait for the bugs you'll need to fix.
-
@orangelightsabr the problem wasn't the keys being close to each other . The problem was me that became a retarded.
-
One of my parents' friend was a plumber and asked me to help him fix his TV which I asked if he could help me fixing a gas leak since he worked with pipes.
-
@ScribeOfGoD are you drunk too?
Anyway a lot of big companies rely on Java or .NET as the back-end. They use other languages for the front-end.
But if you want to make something pretty UI you won't use Java, the same way that you won't PHP either. -
@FitzSuperUser I've been trying but it's still a bit frustrating not getting jobs for wrong answers on stuff that I know.
It happens way too often and I mentally facepalmed myself, like "Why the hell did I said that?" so many times during those interviews. -
You were fresh out of university once and you had messy code too. Never forget that.
He probably wanted to prove that he could do it by himself and failed to do it. -
I have missed loads of jobs I wanted because I suck at interviews. Just keep going and you'll get there eventually.
-
@jonjo it's not a flat surface and unless you're Jesus I doubt you can walk on water. So it's not a floor even if it looks like one.
-
And like most comments it's a wrong description of what the thing actually is. That is not a floor.
-
@jerodev Rich enough to buy an iPhone. Too poor to buy a mac.
-
I took the cup from the coffee maker and threw it into the bin. I facepalmed when I realized it was full.
-
@nai87 COBOL
-
@g-m-f it's not a long interview, it's an interview with a recruiter to talk about myself and the company.
Unfortunately Skype isn't lagging because I've tested it with my GF during the time I've been waiting.
So they just probably forgot, I'm asking for a reschedule and giving them a second chance. -
I'm currently playing with NodeJS and React Native. It's been fun.
-
Do you know that under the Laravel code you use there's SQL right? Someone had to write it and someone needs to keep it updated.
Also a lot of websites don't use Laravel and loads of them don't even use PHP. -
When Windows crashes so bad that even your BSOD doesn't show properly.
-
And here is the reason why I want to get a new job.
-
What did you expect?
-
Ads mate. The more you click, the more money enters their bank account.

Remember everything you loved and hated about Angular 1. Forget about it.
The good thing about Angular 2 is that is not as confusing as the first version but it's completely different in syntax. -
I agree with supporting unofficial apps but I don't agree with putting them in the links on the website. There's no control over quality or reliability in that app since it's not official.
What I think they could do is deploy the app for Windows since it's an hybrid app but it's probably not worth it because the market is ruled by Android and iOS. -
I've been doing some interviews just to see what offers I get and things look promising.
-
@CozyPlanes fortunately the app is running well on all Android versions except on Android 4.3 which happens to be my boss phone.

@gedankennebel https://youtube.com/c/Gitlab/...
-
@gedankennebel he's still employed and he's on their Youtube stream working on the solution.
-
Depends on the app you're developing, if you need to use a lot of native components of the phone is a bit of a nightmare (even though it's getting better on that part) and also performance is still an issue.
-
"I won't forget what that code does."
-
@psudo at least we are now going to use Slack instead of e-mails. First suggestion he followed.
