According to mw dict online a program is "a sequence of coded instructions that can be inserted into a mechanism (such as a computer)" so if HTML markup can do that (with a browser as a compiler) then why isn't HTML considered a 'programming language'?

I have a few css templates I wrote for different purposes. I use them maybe less than half the time. Other half is from scratch or picking up where some1 left off.

Its a good thing you documented everything you did! Its like your boss had a former employee that left a time-bomb when he left. Instead of taking the blame for it or having to pay for it he just pointed the finger. He prolly wasnt expecting his replacement to cover their ass so well. Or it could of been a mistake and he still didnt wanna admit it. Either way I see this kind of thing happen a lot when; old people, bosses, management try to use young people, interns, new employees as scape goats for most or all of their issues. Some ppl like to exploit unexperienced ppl to attempt to get free work out of them or maybe they dont want help even though they need it or got stuck with it.

The only real defense if you are in this situation(IMO) is to document everything! Sometimes that isn't even enough!

To management please keep in mind we all gotta start somewhere. We all have our own problems too. If you hate new people and don't like change please retire and go fys!

@codetinkery If you estimate time like that would't your actual estimation almost always be the result of average of those?

Ex:
(low estimate + mid estimate + high estimate) / 3 = mid estimate(roughly)

Hrs:
(1+2+3)/3=2

@billgates Wow that's insane! This whole time I was under the impression that the Chinese Firewalls only kept the Chinese people from accessing websites outside of China. I had no idea that they have an all access pass to media like that! I wonder what would happen if the average Joe(muggles) found out about this wizardry!

I think that he means because it takes time to learn the commands, shortcuts, OS in general compared to whatev he is currently using.

At least from what I've seen linux is very powerful once you know what your doing.

I'm considering making the switch to linux after a lifetime of using windows. The only thing that's keeping me from doing that right now is the horror stories about compatibility problems. And I need to do some research to find out if I can even use it with my current system!

I would use an app called fooView on a phone. It has a feature that lets you crop any part of your screen and it will auto translate (with goog trans) whatever you cropped, into your language of choice.

I'm not sure if theres a Win app like that but u could take a pic with ur phone or send a pic to ur phone!

I bet 90% of all help desk / tech support questions could be handled if people would take the 2 seconds it takes to do a search! Makes me wonder how often customer support just googles questions or have googled so many things they just know how to fix said problems.
