@Voxera very true! I think it's contributed a lot to my understanding of OOP, using it practically and all that. I'd say that's the major difference.
-
I used to do tech support for an elderly gentleman, nice guy, but I swear he'd call with a problem, I'd walk in, sit down, and it would just not be there anymore (the problem that is)
-
Well at least that means the Drupal guides won't be listed with it.

I think smart watches went from something you talk about to something that sort of exists. Kind of like how people used to talk about having a smart phone because it was unique - now it's just expected to have one. I don't think it's expected to have a smart watch - but I do think I see more smart watches than regular watches.
-
Number 1 all the way, no question. I spend far too much time in vim on the server to be anything else.
-
It's called Agile development man, get with the times!
-
@Divisionbyzero yeah, about 10 years...
-
@Bikonja I mean is laziness a good reason? :D in seriousness it's an internal tool for myself at work, I didnt want to sink too much time into it - hence editing the JSON to be about 1/2 the size by dropping some redundant-ish fields seemed the best solution in the end.
-
@FMashiro but that isn't as fun :(
-
@vividvilla Specifically it was Javascript in Firefox on Ubuntu 16.10 - if you can reproduce it I'd really like to hear!
-
@vividvilla didn't think to try that. In the end I just cut a couple of redundant fields on the json and it's happier now. I believe it was topping out around character 1570000 - this was in Javascript.
-
@hube first thing I tried, gets through the linters without an issue.
-
@ScribeOfGoD I don't think the bitching comes from using it, it's having to make & maintain websites for users that refuse to stop using it...
-
You monster
-
@Jabalaja if you do, I recommend practicing "The Hindu Shuffle" and Riffle shuffling with a bridge finish. The second can be a little noisy. Also, pick up narrow, bridge style cards with a silk finish, as I've always found them easier to shuffle.
-
@Jumpshot44 it's quite old, was from my great aunt.
-
@MrKind I'm talking about my boss at work, not anyone on here, this is a rant.
-
@2Fdev2Ftcsh I am the only coder in the company. I'm also the only designer. Whilst it means a lot of work, it does have some advantages.
-
Am I misunderstanding something, but couldn't you have a site up on a server that you didn't point your registrars dns records at, but you modify your hosts file so it works as expected with a URL? Hell, I'm pretty sure I've done that myself.
-
We've got it on loan from the elders of the internet right now. It's so small...
-
@gloslistan could it be some javascript setting the appearance after loading?
-
@h3ll I could get behind it if you were the NSA or something. But then I imagine they'd have a decent enough administration team to allow Linux machines on the network.
-
@CombustLemons Email styling is a special level of hell.
-
@abdelkafiahmed No VMs even? Run run run run.
-
Follow the prime directive and don't interfere with his life by hiring him.
-
@sgorneau honestly I'd rather be asked to do one for free than be offered £10. Free says "I have no money", £10 says "I have money but don't want to spend it on this."
-
@ThomasRedstone pretty much, almost every time I've gone "I wonder if there is an easier way..." there seems to be a function!
-
@ThomasRedstone That's pretty tasty, learn something new every day.
-
@ThomasRedstone Indeed. Who hasn't written a simple cleaning function when they started out?
-
Phase 1. Immediately start on phase two.
