Agreed. Google is EvilCorp.

@koes Right on, man. Yeah, absolutely. They're very dynamic and "malleable." I have yet to really dive into it, but I've been intrigued with learning about SVG animation. Well animated SVGs (icons, illustrations, visual components, etc.) sure have a way of bringing a user interface (or whatever it may be) to life. 😁

Also, I have been part of the FlutterDev Discord server (here's a non-expiring invite link, if you'd like to check it out: https://discord.gg/t4WumSU57W) for about two years, give or take, and I have found it to be a truly awesome community there. Folks of all ages and experiences ranging from developers who have been coding since childhood to those who are brand new to the realm of programming and app development, interested in learning Dart and the Flutter framework.
Also, they have a channel that exists specifically for folks to share helpful written and video tutorials, and the like; it's called `#articles-and-videos`. I imagine that your videos will better reach those who stand to gain knowledge from your content there, as well. :)
P.S. — I have been on somewhat of a hiatus from my Flutter projects to focus on some research, so I am not aware of any changes or updates they may have made, so I definitely suggest checking their rules and whatnot before posting, just in case. -
@arturzadas Exactly. Reddit's a sinking ship, anyway. Fuck 'em. ;)
-
@Elyz Thanks! :)
-
@Elyz If I may, I would be extremely grateful to have an upgraded PC that isn't 10+ years old and is capable of handling the multitasking requirements of an ADD ridden programmer/researcher, please, great home-office wish-granting fairy! 🙏😇
-
@Root Albeit, I do appreciate the uniqueness of your suggestion. :) Just like the Netflix scenario, anything verbal (with very few exceptions) has a knack for throwing me out of the "tunnel vision" level of focus that I operate best in, if that makes sense.
-
@Root For me, personally, it actually has the opposite effect. My subconscious mind will be trying its best to decode what is being said while my conscious mind will become focused on trying to ignore the distraction—I'm a bit of a nutcase. 😅
-
@ExperiBass You bet. Right on, I'm glad to hear that. :)
-
Although I have alternative goals in mind, I too would find this quite helpful. There are far too many idiots in charge of their intellectual superiors. It's a Topsy-Turvy world we live in these days.

For me, it's the chaotic lack of cable management. That shit drives me nuts.

@MrHallows *too, not took
-
@EmberQuill Damn, that is super weird.. @_@ Pretty interesting, though, to say the least. Haha.
Yeah, I have definitely found music to be very helpful, as well. I have a playlist titled "In the Zone" that I usually play while coding and it does help to keep my mind focused and active. For me, I've found instrumental music to give me the sharpest focus because lyrics tend to draw my attention.
And I actually have been using an app called GitJournal for jotting down ideas as much as possible, but I'll try having a document open on my desktop for that while I'm coding. Thanks for your feedback! -
@Root Well, personally the Netflix/background noise thing actually makes focusing much harder for me (dialogue, various sound effects, etc.), but I think that writing a list of tasks would certainly help keep me on track a lot more. Thank you!
-
@duckycode Awesome, I'll check it out. Thank you!
-
@Jilano Or for people who are took lazy or incompetent to use their brains.
-
Quite a rare occurrence, but a super relieving one. 😅
-
@Root What?
-
@Root Holy shit. That number (0.0065) is exactly 10,000,000,000 times less than the number of deaths the Event 201 simulation (which took place on Friday, October 18, 2019) predicted would occur by the 18-month point from when COVID-19 was manufactured— Erm.. I mean "discovered." That's interesting.
-
@endor You do make a valid point there. The "Power of Intention" has always worked in reverse throughout my life, so I suppose I should start hoping that some infected stranger doesn't cough up a lung into my face, that I don't contract the virus and that the disease doesn't develop enough to take me out of this absolutely wonderful world we live in. :)
-
@Root Exactly. I haven't worn a mask even once throughout this entire ordeal and I'm perfectly fine. I will say, though, this "pandemic" (a.k.a. fear-mongering rouse) has certainly done a great job at separating the sheep from the rest of us. As an American, I would love nothing more than to watch this government burn to the ground. But everyone loves to place the full blame on China. If only they knew that Bill Gates and the John Hopkins University were at the helm.
-
Good for you, man! I respect the hell out of people who have the courage to say, "fuck this," when it's necessary. 👊😎
-
Yeah, definitely not, but at least one of us is. ;) Congratulations!
-
Jesus.. They used way too much solder.
-
@Benedikt Well, I keep thinking that it might partly be due to the placement of my movement/collision code within the codebase, too. The GameObject base class is structured with the HandleInput > Update > Render pattern and I guess I'm not exactly sure how to properly handle the code for input, movement and collision detection/resolution separately. In the hustle and bustle of trying to make it work, the "complexity" of the code tends to increase, but I always feel like it should be short, simple and succinct, but I just don't know how to execute it correctly. Do you know what I mean?
-
@Falk This is because the majority of human beings are followers of whatever is already popular. Their cone of vision is drastically narrowed and anything outside of it goes unnoticed. It's a sad world we live in these days.
-
@Floydian But is it really that surprising?.. 🤔
-
This just might be the most broken, nonsensical statement I've read all month.
