@dontbeevil Gmail? I've never seen an advert inside Gmail. They extract your data and use it for advertising purposes but there's no actual ads inside the platform itself.
Two different things. -
Am I the only one who drinks coffee because I actually enjoy it and not for the caffeine?
Caffeine literally has no effect on me. Doesn't wake me up. -
@bahua VSCode's most popular language is node, which is certainly not a Microsoft language (tho they have contributed to the project)
-
@Benedikt Isn't Google's SafeSearch results on by default? The user has to disable it.
-
@ChainsawBaby Small and simple yet descriptive commits are the best.
-
Well, I mean you could unsubscribe from them all at one time via the settings on their website. I pretty much always disable email notifications for every platform as soon as I sign up.

I went to school for software engineering but knew most of the curriculum already.
To be honest, I've learned more from self teaching via the internet and books than I did from school.
You definitely do not need a degree to be successful. -
@SyntaxError365 Koa.js instead of Express 🙂
-
Did you say that to them?
Did any of your peers do the "big" projects they mentioned by themselves? If not, their point (which is retarded to begin with) is null and void. -
@Nanos I've owned a 3D printer for a while now. They definitely require more maintenance and technical knowledge to operate. But it's worth it. I love it. Of course, the fancier you get, the easier it is (sensors, automatic calibration, etc)

@Kamaropoulos there was a limited run of physical Bitcoins that had a private key to a wallet that contained exactly 1 BTC on the back under one of those scratch to reveal things.
There have been others from random companies since then, but no idea if they're actually legit. In the case above, those coins really did have 1 BTC in the wallets. -
When you log into Chrome, a dialog will pop up asking if you want to sync or not. It will only sync if you press the "Link Data" button...
Also, why login to Chrome while remoting in? Logging into Gmail and logging into Chrome are two completely separate actions. -
@senzory Interesting. I would say that looks like an average public classroom where I live (ON, Canada). Maybe even less so. Definitely doesn't compare to unis/colleges. Maybe high schools.
-
@lunorian If you like ReactJS you should give VueJS a try
-
@senzory What in that picture makes you think that looks like an expensive school?
-
@Highwind I feel like most people who say it don't haha
-
I definitely don't need music to code but I would say I'm more productive while listening to it. But that applies to any work, not just coding.
-
@Highwind "Blockchain" is a big one right now.
-
There are already way too many cryptos by people who just forked other coins and don't actually understand it at all. Then they don't bother to update the codebase, leaving security exploits and bugs.
Avoid those little ones like the plague. -
Just have confidence, I'm sure you'll do just fine 🙂
-
@billgates They do offer PayPal on top of their direct credit card processing. If you paid via PayPal (fortunately, I did) you're not affected.
-
@Michelle Nope, I did not change my name
-
@Michelle Not saying I don't believe you (I know slurring is very common in some states) and I wasn't trying to be rude either 😣
Was just stating that the average person who uses the phrase "could care less" says it due to a misunderstanding, not a slur (you're obviously not part of that average since you know the difference).
That's all. Didn't mean to come off wrong or anything ☮️☺️ -
@Michelle "Could care less" is actually said more frequently simply from misconception.
People think that's the actual saying, not them slurring their speech. And the more it's said/written, the larger the misconception gets.
There's a lot of common English sayings that the general North America population just say wrong from lack of knowledge. -

@hexc You would probably be very happy with elementary. It's definitely one of the more polished distros out there. They make the DE, apps, etc in house so it has a very consistent design.
-
@Lahsen2016 Perhaps she took it after getting her phone back? Or, more likely, the dad took the picture.
-
Fun game but make sure the UI doesn't get stretched on devices with a 18:9 ratio!
-
@RickDiculous179 You're the first person to notice, haha 👍
