    Aren't we all?

    Just fyi coffee usually doesn't contain alcohol.

    What do you do during coffee break?
    Don't drink coffee seems antisocial 🤔

    @sunfishcc sometimes mountain dew

    You'll get there. Everyone gets there eventually. I too hated coffee in the past. High performance programming, balanced with personal life, usually means some sleep deprivation and 100% attention during work hours, even on long boring meetings.

    Without caffeinated drinks I'd be many sprints behind where I am now.

    I've programmed for more that 5 years, I still don't drink coffee and alcoholic drinks.

    Methinks it's why I have so few bugs 😎

    @arcticwhite waiting😂

    Developer is just a biomachine that turns coffee into code.

    Also, if you don't drink and code how will you ever find your "Balmers Peak"?!? 😂😂

    Decaffe always, only like the smell and taste, I get energised from coding.

    @TobyAsE NO? GOD, WHAT THE FUCK HAVE I BEEN DRINKING MY ENTIRRE LIFE?
  • 1
    @amnjain You'll find something that fuels you, whereas it be tea, plain water, you don't have to follow the trend.

    I enjoy coffee, but I get sick, too strong stomachache whenever I drink it, so I avoid it at all costs.

    @Pointer yaa man !! I prefer tea over coffee too..

    It's like cigarrettes, the older generation smoke them, the younger generation don't. Same for programming, the older generation drink coffee, the younger generation drink Red Bull 😂

    Wait for it.

    I used to have coffee and be in on redbull. I started on coffee because my team had a ritual where they would get coffee after standup, and our coffee is free. A year later, I'm on a 2 person team with one of those guys and we're still getting coffee every single day 😂

    @Pointer OK✌👍

    Used to drink 4 cans of monster energy drink in one day by the end felt REALLY productive although could've been hallucinating
  • 1
    @TobyAsE It sounds like you need to get a better coffee supplier.
  • 1
    I prefer Coke or Pepsi🌚

    I question the quality of you code. As a developer you are a subspecies of homosapiens who converts coffee into code...

    Give it another 5 years

    Am I the only one who drinks coffee because I actually enjoy it and not for the caffeine?

    Caffeine literally has no effect on me. Doesn't wake me up.
  • 3
    @MrMeeseeks same, must be good coffee. I drink the shit and then go sleep, super strong coffee is actually a sleep aid for me. Tried some black insomnia one day for the first time, about 710mg/cup like 4 sips in I was lethargic.

    I don't do coffee, lemonade, energy drinks or alcohol either. I think many of us like this, no?

    Sugar is my spinach. All nighters are a breeze when I have enough sugary foods.

    Sometime ago, I put some in a cup with warm water. LOL.
  • 1
    @vertti Indeed. The most I do it's tea, or pure water

    @MrMeeseeks I enjoy coffee, but I always have as much caffeine as possible.
  • 0
    It's not just for the energy. The taste of good coffee 😍

    @vertti maybe where you live, but here coffee is such an NB thing for developers, it's formed part of the job spec.

    Some companies go as far as hiring setting up mini coffee shops with restaurant grade coffee machines.

    I know developers who have rejected job offers based solely on the coffee the company provides.

    I like how alcohol and coffee somehow ended up in the same category of energizers.

    @RTRMS I live in the country that has the highest per capita consumption of coffee in the world.

    Every IT consultant company here has at the very least some fancy coffee machine. Believe me I know.

    That being said, I still find lots of people online like myself who don't do coffee but do tea instead, although probably virtually no one to the extent that I do

    @joshgallagher24 its the interns and the older generation that drink redbull in my experience. The rest drinks mountain dew...

    Just give me coffee or just water
