@fordtaunus I ran out of words and whenever we come up with logical name, it already exist.
Classes do solve it at some level, but still sometimes we get situation where function name already exist.
And, as other suggested I go with whatever comes in mind but then seniors laugh as It seems stupid. -
looks like you are in very bad neighborhood.
-
Okay you got me worried. As of now I was thinking it is normal but here me out.
1. I use to misspell a lot. It's happening from past three years. Plus I got confuse about spelling of smiliiar words.
2. But use to get null object reference error a lot. So I developed a habit of copying the text and pasting it next use of the variable.
3. In extreme cases I keep on looking the same line which complier says has error. But still can't see the difference. In such situation other dev help me out.
Am I dyslexics? -
The best example of "banniya's company".
It is not mean to hurt anyone of the cast but this term is really popular. -
May God save your holiday.

4 months ago I was in the same company like you. Managment was interested in output on daily basis.
No use of best coding practices , no use of productive tools like trello or even git.
I stuck with job for 2 years. I am single but before that job I suffered hell financially. So, I had no where to go. So I stick with the worst working environment.
Company has solid foundation means anyone can survive for 15 years least. You know gov job like.
Here is the dark side of it. In such companies people exist who have no talent. They exist because they have taken credit of someone else work.
They survived because of politics. Giving you ultimatum for being too critical is just that. You managment get scared that if your voice get in ears of top managment they could be question.
It's happen jungle kill or be killed. As you have responsibility I suggest stay low, add good thing in project staying low.
On other hand look for other job. As soon as u get change the job. -
Mission compromise... I repeat mission compromise.
Agents details are public now. -
@notlikethis thanks. That's really motivated me.
-
@FuzzyMyztiq already have rise. But I started my career from small town and they start in city. So they have nice saley in start of career.
as rise depends on previous salary I get less paid. -
Same here,
But in my case parents are greedy. They want me to earn more so they can brag about it to others.
Every time I get a rise they won't be happy. -
@Fast-Nop yes, I had the same idea. Without any second thought I deny.
My situation was like when you want to say lots of thing but don't know how to say it. -
@ihatecomputers same here
-
I had sever anxiety because of old job and manager. DevRant helped me in those time to vent out.
When I look back, indeed it was dark times and DevRant was only place to curse those people. -
I always hate collage. That's why I never look back when I graduated. Neither to those books.
-
May be your TL was killing time.
-
I think @mr-coder is talking from syllabus point of view. But it will be informative to new guys.
-
If I have to use my brain I would be on SO
-
@error503 nope.

It is because in most of the company specially in India most of seniors are useless. Most of them got the position because of some connection.
Technically they don't know anything. As they never worked on real project. Hence the algo parts.
Why senior dev hates it?
Being in the industry for so long we have to constantly upgrade our self. We consistently learn new technology and real life we use existing library.
So. Basically Aws, NPM, dDjango etc stay in active memory rather that algo and data structure.
So, a real developer would never ask you algo rather the question will be related with the project for which they are hiring.
For example. We were looking for someone who was good with google maps and know Cartesian system. So the interview question.
Bottom line those people who ask algos are the people who have not much dev experience and they did not want to take blame so the algo and ds. -
Thank god I never worked in such environment.
My seniors could not tolerate such kind of efficencies so they recommended Skype then later whatsapp.
From bug to new features, discuss on Skype. -
Few days ago I was in the same position as yours. Then I used gnome web and it's good to solve safari issues.
-
I will read in news then
-
Always use private browsing.
-
I use to like it but since the JavaScript-bang happens I also wish it should die.
-
If you are on php, just add a space before opening tag <?php
-
I have no idea why youtube show me Wix ad.
-
Usually in this kind of situation I leave keyboard and watch them till they understand.
Learns, from my great master, in the time of crises he take out every developer for smoke. while everyone panic he figure it out what could possibly gone wrong. Most chill dude I ever meet. -
And cutting cheeks or tounge means someone curse you.
Can be first force push. 😊 -
Yah deshi cost nothing in villages.

Demigod would be perfect god is too much. But your right.
I mean how a client ask for fixing his site. Just imagine if they treat us like god or how would they pray.
"Hey Dev! Once you build my site and because of my mistreatment to you, you curse my site to only work for 10 people at a time. Please have mercy and clear that curse. I have family to feed....... I......I
I even try to approach other Deva's but your curse is so complex and heavy that no one dare to help me.
Have mercy Dev oh god of uncommented codes, You don't need to write full variable name , it is only you who can understand his code. Please...."
And you guys know what kind of curse I am talking about. Right?
