@aviophile not sure if sure your fountain of knowledge is overflowing but you'd enlighten me nonetheless..
-
Elon N is probably one good example of a person who turned from a really passionate kid to this evil oligarch..
Bucket load of money does not justify a person firing people from their job via twit. It does not even justify appearing with sink on his first day at work. I wonder how'd he reacted if one his subordinates did exactly he did on day one. -
@Demolishun depends really.. I think in an automotive industry there must be some work that still needs human touch.. Still someone forcing me to do something because he pays a few quid to me end of the month, doesn't sit well on me..

Drone operator?
-
@Voxera yep just realised it now looking at my wife's device...

@electrineer lool

In here at UK nine tech guys normally says "oh can I touch base with you on bla bla"
Well there ain't any base here if there was I wouldn't even dream of letting you touch it .. get the fuck out of my way... -
Normally first jobs are always hard. Keep an open mind I guess. I am sure you'd look back to the experience rather fondly..

Coming from C# and java I find react in combination with type script is quite refreshing. Took me a while to understand react fully and after constantly using it over a year or so I still get stuck. I find that is mostly down to my inherent reluctance to learn new things.
Its possibly mostly because of ts rather than react itself but you can now think of coming up with an entire front end without giving much thought about the backend. In the days of vanilla js, it could still be possible but every change meant back end and front development teams merrily exchanging death threats with each other.
I did undergo the pain of packaging product both in angular and react. But really that is again because I did not want to learn webpack/percel. -
The problem is you can't just create an app as a single developer. You need to register as an organisation and then they'll allow to have your own data.
-
@stop that went like 2 miles over my head...
-
@Commodore Thanks very much. Tyler mcginnis' course seems to be a paid one. Seems like a good investment but not so much for a weekend geek who just wants to learn. I have looked at react-redux documentation and came across to https://redux.js.org/recipes/... which has a link to code sandbox project. let me see if can make sense of it.

I am interested to know about data flow between components and xhr calls.
-
@netikras I'll remember that. Thanks very much for it.
You know I saw some documentary somewhere that how US is thwarting Huawei's drive of coming up with 5g by spreading hacking scandal. I thought it to be exactly that. I feel like an idiot now.. -
@Pyjong none of the purchases are intimate but that's not the point though. I understand Facebook will gather information from my activity on Facebook. Again I'm guessing any ecommerce site, say amazon, may have some agreement with Facebook that let's amazon market their product to targeted people who are interested. I agree to that as well.. I do not agree that the information like my day to day activity like the books that I purchased on the high street will be mined. I certainly have not given consent to that, simply because Facebook did not ask for it. If they did they would have agreed the level of hacking they are doing...
-
@netikras I actually did.. Why do you say that...
-
@Root you know what pisses me most is their complete obliviousness to the fact... I can probably understand a moronic comment/action from a non tech person but when it's a senior developer doing the same shitty mistake thing over and over again, it's just disgusting...
-
@mojo2012 I agree... Look at the first statement...
-
@cst1992 not sure I saw in fb..
-
@C0D4 intriguing... In my defence I joined the party much later when the infrastructure is well in place...
-
Did your coworkers "promised" that they'll use it...

I was having conversation about 12 years ago with a guy in a pub. He said something that day which at the time seemed absurd... He said his team is working on a Tech that won't need people punching in there pin code everytime they buy something with their card. It's amazing how science fiction catches up with reality so fast...
-
This got escalated quickly!
-
@Alice may be I do not get the fact that a species is not endangered anymore. I don't know. Sorry I should not have commented but I had fun this morning, having this conversation..
-
@Alice I am not going to extend this conversation since its going no where, when someone questions about a damn tortoise's mindset before it has sex, it really tests my sanity...
I am sure you know for a fact that Diego, in his 80+ booty call had a lot of non concentual sex. May be the three lady tortoises came to you and gave you proof. But believe me the Facebook page that I copied and pasted this meme from had no female tortoise complaints. -
@Alice what part of getting laid... You do not understand...
-
@Alice wow... that was a bit harsh when it was meant for just a joke...
-
@Stuxnet could they've sold 5m windows phone. I never thought I'd live to see the day.. Lol..
-
60s and 70s rock does it for me..

@kindacoder I wonder if he ever considered investing in the hair transplant business... At least he could have come with this before and after pix and could have claimed that he finally invested on something that actually works...
