Took a while to get back to this but it made me smile to know I am not the only dinosaur 😂

Been around the Dev world I can tell you collage means nothing a a company that knows talent, I am a manic depressive person that found tech to manage my mine I never finished school let alone collage but always got my work and ideas out there, and I was head hunted, thankfully I put health before money as that would of been a bad path to take but kido live your life as a kid the right project if there is such a thing will find you, but with the rise of AI leaning on a large catalogue of coding research your really fighting a losing battle.
Use the keyboard for your passions not a payment, money is the root of all unhappiness, live your childhood, enjoy what we have left of this wonderful world.
The days of been stuck behind a screen will come one day what ever job it will be so grab that moment of freedom now
Like yourself many of us started young it's how we was able to understand the tech world now, but understanding doesn't mean you need to run out and burn the candle just yet. -
There is no reason why games can't and won't run on Linux part from the power struggle OSs have right now, windows made is so easy to create game engines that need windows only tech to work, closed source and locked down there for making it harder to port this and that, look at the consoles the company that made the easiest dev kits one the war, so yes games can, will and do come out for Linux but only when the development team use the right tech to make it, the here is no reason a game should be 100 gig and need ever resource going, this is and sadly will mostly always be the lazy cop out wrong OS, wrong type of coding and very wrong mind set to push there games.

As cool as this little toon was, it's not true, learning the logic and seeing the mistakes to trigger that creativity in the first place. For many people creating something needs a rime and reason, fixing it and making it better for many is the reason in the first place, this can lead to self coding but the idea has to be seeded.
No coder started from scratch, there ideas was seeded from somewhere else.
Sorry took a funny out of context a little but the editor is as good or even better then the original author in many cases even if they never create something from scratch. -
Looks like something i would do when tired or getting board with the project
-
@Parzi i don't remember putting hashtags lol it must of been just a auto thing when i did it lol
-
Awww you wanted to keep this going, but no, but to be nice I will upvote your comment.
-
@suprano clearly you can't read, thought I was the dyslexic one, I said it wasn't funny 10 years ago and isn't now, no offense taken.
-
@suprano not really funny anymore it was when phone condoms was new but that was like what 10 years ago, do you go in to the mens room and giggle at the condoms for despite men?
-
@devTea it's in a phone comdom so it shouldn't wear out should be fine.

I love the replies my point was I don't understand maths but I can and have made programs do it for me, my point was in away was even the brains that don't take things in well like the write or mathematical language can still adapter, this used to be the soul behind every geek, nerd and misfit I say used to loosely but a real computer geek will understand what we do now isn't the optermised way of doing things anymore.
Your replied made me smile thanks guys lol -
He is still outside the door never made it to work as she created the while but forgot to define "you're out"
So he's stuck in a infinity loop as he's unable to brake our of the loop or the loop was never triggered and human script 3.7 just crashed -
My capture on this would be, some developers just refuse to upgrade lol
-
Yep I have done all this and the rest lol but java for me still wins
-
This had nothing to do with the www/root level it was to do with the SSL cert and thankfully we was able to get it to work in the end.
-
It's the same everywhere, many companies no longer head hunt uni leavers, they will snatch up freelance or smaller IT techs from active work as they can see there proven themselves in the field.
I know this has been the case for a while now but it's becoming less and reason for the university degree.
Unless you want to teach then get the degree. -
Mine will have to be like that but 3 laptops or more but I like the concept
-
@lloyd190 if you think sarcasm should be taken as red, this is another god darn problem with the human race, I shouldn't have to see any comment as sarcasm, I take people on there first words not what they didn't say, so I don't give a flying fuck if you think I was offensive, you come here and felt sarcasm was the best reply. well you was wrong to judge it that way, sarcasm is better done spoken or visual, the written word is not really created for sarcasm unless you do it right, and your didn't, well done.
-
@lloyd190 I missed the upvote, and I also can't take upvote's in to account as I have seen people do it just so they can say hurtful things to people and make it look like a "joke", hard to judge sometimes.
But then deleting the comment makes me also wonder... -
What is this, attract the worse humans possible day today, wow there coming out of the woodwork.
-
Wait what, it has a home page ..... That sounds like some kind of witchcraft
-
@Demolishun I think it's getting to the point long as the game is on a PC you might as well, consoles do give you a fixed hardware with a good game play for its limits but we can do that with a pc also.
I miss the days when a console was really that, games haven't got better they just look better, and devs don't make things better they use us the post lovely API/Framework there could of made games to work on the gen before hardware not the next coming up hardware would make a game last twice as long but it's the same in all programming APIs here Framework there, latest tech there .... Sorry but we not using any hardware it's fullist we are just grabbing that looks the best.
But I digress even the instant on PC never stays like that after the next update and windows slows it down, Linux is not super fast booting and nonpc should be if it's profiling it's hardware and detecting it right rather then guessing hardware is there with a magic driver ...
Bring back real consoles and PCs -
@Codex404 I am little confused why you said this is on the switch ? this is a screen shot of a xbox and even the switch as content and updates that install to the device these days.
-
Also this rant blow up fast, I am glad it triggered something in side some of you, here's to a dying concept, plug and play, you will be missed
-
@devTea you made some good points but I have good internet it was turned off as I want to see the game in its buggy glorry lol and the game is on disc, I think the term we are looking for is directed play off a a digital media rather a install wait and pay like we do on the PC.
-
@W4R10CK @jak645 I have to say it's been s long time since installed any game via disc, we have this game on the PS4 one platform we don't use as much and that installed in half the time and used one blueray
But the PlayStation didn't feel or play as well for me I love both platforms do not picking a side, and to you jak the point of a old console was we didn't have to wait for a long time for downloads or installing and I am 100% getting the game on PC but that missing my point of this post lol
My internet connection if fast the install speeds was affected by the disc no downloading as I don't want the patch for that game I disable the internet and have automatically patch's off
So my statement is I feel old as my child hood we put the game in and waiting to it loaded nothing nothing more and games today have the same or worse loading times in places. Not sure how many of you missed that :) -
I know that feeling all two well, also never code with a fever as omg that becomes hell and if you really was deep in the code when you get ill your fever riddled dreams is something unexplainable even if you know that the dream is bull turkey you for that moment in your dream still try fix a impossible loop.
-
@StefanH I agree some people will be lazy but also people whom are Dyslexic do spell things wrong, or use the wrong word, or you think the right word, this is what I hate the most when I want to write something I end up writing a completely different word that angers me as if I am speed writing I can forget what I was trying to say.
You are right there are many people that do it because there been lazy but not limited :) and I understand that. -
@StefanH Well I am sorry but what you stated lazyness is one of the main this of dyslexia but, if I asked you to lets say read something for me to see if it was right, then I want the truth and if I used the wrong version of a word what I do a lot, sometimes I might have to ask them to explain, it's not about been lazy it's about unable to retain that information even after been told.
But how you explained how you would point it out to me sounds like the right way if someone asks for help and really did put the wrong this it should be pointed out as it can change the meaning.
And there is also still a nicer way to explain someone got something wrong :) But the one thing you just said is people been lazy in many cases is also many dyslexic or other mental health problems linked to dyslexia so please don't believe it's just lazy :) sadly people will use it as a cop out also but same time if we just change how we react to it makes it better for everyone. -
@kamen There is many reasons why someone might be illiterate, but we has humans only need one reason to react like a git, but we don't need rime or reason to be nice to someone. I am dyslexic and I also find problems with users from another language not understanding the meanings of the English word, (English is a mind fuck to english let alone someone not native) but if I felt it was said wrong I would find a nice way to say did you know or so one to point it out.
I am dyslexic not stupid and if someone is pointed out right I don't might be pointed out I got something wrong, maybe(mostly wont) but maybe it would make something click for it to make it right next time.
All I ask is have a little more respect :)
