Dells project Sputnik series is quite nice (laptops with Linux support), myself I really like the xps 13 developer edition :)
-
@Hubot-0x58 hope you’ll find it as good as I do :) let me know if you have any other questions.
-
@Hubot-0x58 use .net core if you’re creating something new today, it better in almost every aspect. It’s also the only one where Linux is a first class citizen :)
-
Nah Apple just turn on root with no password, let's be honest Linux is the only way!
-
You survive on people charging pennies often do a shitty job and then it get's expensive for real to sort out the shit fiesta with a good dev.
-
Correction, as of now Intel figures should be reduced 5-30% in size xD

@Linux strange how our experience can differ so much as I'm too from Sweden (If my mind serves me, you worked in Sweden). But i understand if you experience with Lenovo is better why you would choose them instead.
-
I don't fancy Thinkpad since Lenovo took it over, for me it's best days are behind. The manufacturer showing most promise in my book is Dell, at least they have a series of laptops that are Linux first.
Perhaps I'm just getting grumpy :/ -
@CorruptComputer gets it.

@bahua so buy a router from a company that shipped routers with serious security flaws and took months to solve them after being notified? No thanks I stay with peplink.
-
It's my understanding that some virtual machines run slower on AMD such as Android VM (due to Haxm), not sure if it has any merite and can't bench it as I don't own a ryzen unit.

All sizes got their fair share of issues. In a large project there is a painful amount of politics and just setting up a new dev machine can take days to go through all policy steps. The project I’m now inside of needed 4 days just to get get access to the code, so I could set up a dev environment.

20 sec? My xamarin takes 3-7 sec. What gear do you use? About svg i'm pretty sure that can be solved with a custom render.

@vertti they mostly do the same, but I tend to have to write less code and do fewer errors with vue. Overall I would say making objects react to modifications in the data is much easier with vue. On top of that vue is faster and require less resources in all applications I've tested. Worth noting with vue if you'r a novice of the framework, it's easy to target a bit to much. Since vue in an effort of attempting to make your life easier sometime do unnecessary stuff, but if you grasp the patterns it's really no issue
-
Would have changed to vue.js dev as work in an instant if such opportunities existed in my home country.
-
It's both good and fun to code in. I'm a react dev by trade, yet my side projects are all vue.js since it's extremely fast and a delight to code in.

Well to be honest .net is one of the most solid frameworks for large scale web apps to date. And with .net core, it put most other frameworks to shame when it comes to speed and modularity.
-
@unknown that I can neither confirm nor deny.
-
@Jumpshot44 thanks :)

@thmnmlst thanks, seems like a great community :)
