My gf has a small yorkshire terrier for like 3 months now. That little creature (now 6 months old) just lights up my world.
-
I just got prometed to senior working student. So nothing mayor. I'm gonna do the same work but I'm gonna get payed like 50% more.
I'm gonna buy a small mobile notebook so my back doesn't have to carry my 17 inch monster anymore. It was stupid of me to ever buy that thing. I mean I got a good desktop and that thing just isn't that mobile.
Thanks for all the suggestion. I'm taking Meds and soon I'll start therapy. Have to wait for a place to upon up but at least it's free here in Germany.
Other than that I'm maybe gonna buy a new guitar in a few months and get myself better food. Like an expensive steak or something like that from time to time.
And yes maybe I need to look after my body more. I'm 25 now and I've been gaining too much weight. My gf says she doesn't mind but I don't like it when I see myself on pictures.
Anyway thank you guys and I hope you have a great weekend -
The preview of this had me fooled that this was another forever lonely programmer joke

After focusing my anger on the kitty for 2 straight minutes it vanished.
I realized that that poor kitty isn't responsible for my product owner and work and my own poor life decisions that lead to me working there.
Even if sometimes feel like somebody should be blamed maybe it is better to let the anger go. Because in the end I feel like it is only dragging myself down with it.
I'm sorry for figuratively shouting those words at you kitty and I want to say sorry for myself for blaming myself all the time.
Maybe in my own way I was lead here like the kitty and just reacted to my surroundings.
Sorry that got way too deep. Working on very abstract concepts of variants of business models right now and this shit makes me think like 2 or 3 meta levels above my usual plain... Hope I can switch back to coding soon -
@CodeMasterAlex yeah no Italian would ever do that to a pizza.
We got something like that here in Germany and I've also seen in the states. -
@CodeMasterAlex never seen a pizza with spaghetti topping?
-
I normally don't write comments like that. Just if it is something that had me confused or was a bug that remained in the code base for a long time.
So if you struggled with the code yourself I think a comment like this is the right thing to do. -
@ScriptCoded clicking the links is fun
-
Well depending on the length of your former beard it will just take time to relearn everything
As long as you don't shave -
People figuratively swinging hammers around in their codebase.. Now that's the part of the message I can get behind
-
At least on at Christmas the trees are normaly shaped like they should be.
If now we could convince them that the thing on top is in fact called the root -
@PonySlaystation sadly I haven't been able to reproduce it. But I've heard that you can always download RAM. If I can reproduce it I'll be sure to make a website where you can upgrade your CPU.
-
@asgs nope.
It was running on a weird VM with 3 Cores. Don't know where that 8 comes from -
@EV-EV
Either this says that you should simply that and just write one line
int a, b, c, d, e;
Or that you should name variables with a useful name.
Or there is a third option. I don't get it either -
@fdgramm if you work somewhere where the codebase has some shitty parts then you need to comment a lot on why you had to do something in a stupid way because that's just how the shitty API works.

@LastDigitOfPi
Yeah it doesn't call itself. It gets called by quite a few other methods.
The only thing that this method does is that it changes the method of the subclass to public.
So that for instances of the subclass this method can be called from classes outside of the package. -
Jane looks nice

@desinika
As some people care about things like this.
Here is your 1000 -
I ate like 2 hands full of sunflower seeds last night because they were the only thing in the fridge that could be eaten without having to cook something...
I almost went back to bad hungry and stood in front of the fridge arguing with myself whether I should eat them. -
@electric-ghost we use eclipse swt and test with RCPTT. Don't know how well this would work with another IDE.
I'm just a working student so my opinion doesn't matter that much. At least we as working students got them to switch to git from SVN. -
Mom: You installed a game on my laptop and laptop doesn't work anymore!
Me: it was in your old laptop, remember?
Mom: you moved my pictures and mail from the old laptop to the new one maybe you also moved something bad or your game so now it doesn't work anymore...
Me: okay mom...
P.S. I love my mom. She just wants help because she doesn't have a clue about pcs and doesn't want me to explain her anything. So this works for me. I think I have to call her when I get of the train. I kind of miss her... -
I disagree on that definition of thinking.
-
@C0D4
Sadly have to at work... -
I'm also curious what the arguments are in your university.
As this is the 0th time I've heard something like this. -
I love how the joke about a coffee cup is on a coffee cup
-
Okay now it's done. Took 1 hour and 5 minutes
-
@Guitaraholic as long as you only stay addicted to guitars ;-)
But yeah sometimes getting drunk just resets your brain. -
@mundo03 @dontbeevil
Guess what... Most of them are general purpose machines that should also be called PCs -
@linuxxx
I never thought of you blaming me or for that matter anyone.
If anything you are very sensative about what people might think about your comments etc. -
@linuxxx
Very interesting blog. Thank you for talking the time to write it :-)
I had a very good time reading all of it just now.
Unfortunately it's very hard for me to get rid of most of the insecure apps entirely. I part time work as a musician and other musicians first of all have a harder time understanding why I don't want to use a specific service without having the technical background. For them it's an inconvenience if I don't have WhatsApp or Telegram.
And I know this may seem weird but musicians normally don't just choose their working partners on the basis of skill. I once heard myself being referred to as the weird producer who doesn't use WhatsApp. Since then I solled out and installed all of those apps again. As I really want to make music my full time job in the future (without starving to death... Untill then im studying computer science and have a working student job in IT)
So I have those apps installed but use them as sparly as I possibly can.
