I think the new preview is much better
-
@JKyll nah brotherhood was good , ac started being buggy 3 onwards
-
I chose to retain him but gave him a stern warning, mostly becuase i still think he can improve. Lets see how this goes (will post in this thread if it does backfire). Maybe i was not hard enough. This person does xd files for us so i am not that worried about leaving behind unmanagable code.
-
@hinst Yep , the hope on that would be that we would not have to deal with the bad attitude.
-
Ads are getting dumber
-
Not worst but funny none the less , i used to work with a guy who used to tell developers that 'he was not getting the proper juice' from them. Once he was confronted by a woman from our team he said we had dirty minds.
-
@tosensei you sure , i had someone mention in an interview to me that he has reached 500 people through a stackoverflow answer amd knows how to handle big groups.
-
@swagnette Thats awesome , unfortunately mine is the check if excel sheet is green kind and shout if its not kind of management.
-
I used to work with a ceo who would call up to ask me why I was liking or sharing posts made by other people. Unethical probably not , insane yes.
-
Metaverse blockchain are some of the latest buzzwords.
However just be yourself , engineering especially in a hostile environment can be stressfull but always remember that you are a strong mofo, otherwise you would not be in this line of work anyways. -
Been there , but becuase of hostile teammates , not communication barriers.
The business analysts were promising impossible items to the client with impossible timelines, the project managers was utterly useless and would pressure the devs into delivering faster.
Meanwhile the entire tech team tried their level best and the project was a few days out from completion when it got cancelled.
Feel for you man , you will definately be blamed for loss of client. Its the fate of devs or anyone who is the last point to deliver. -
I kinda think these items happen, i always tell recruiters to get me javascript developers and they send me bullshit java cvs.
-
@rEaL-jAsE Technically yes , politically no
-
@atheist Fully Agree
-
@nibor the main issue is we have to go into jira to update stuff or set new stuff up
-
I used to dislike these policies then i met people who try to write flask apis in jupyter and realised the need for sanity checking the ides.
-
@AlmondSauce thats the funny part , they are not , the poorest people on the team are the devs , then the architect then these people.
-
@Fiftyseven blame game , a demo with the customer gets delayed or fails its always the tech team. I the other Devs and the Architect want no part in that We also have very high attrition in the team.
