@lotd I had once a guy who had in his cv, that he was programming matlab. Oh great, so tell me what you did.... ahhh user interface, oh ok.
-
devRant during registration should encourage ppl to use sh to do their "hello world" introduction. Would spare them of many awkward moments.
Welcome btw:)
P.s. please don't use brackets like that. -
@Skipp
Pubic your interface on porn 69, wait until somebody subscribe to your pipe and than pump the data until it overflows. -
This actually can impact pornductivity. You are in a "zone", you make such an innocent typo, and suddenly all you think: one wank or two is not going to crash the deadline. Hate making typos
-
I didn't remember when I wrote this rant, oh it is not me?
-
@vortexman100 the other day I was just thinking about it, already install it, thanks to my linux :) but so much on my plate these days, and they even released necromancer:)
-
@esavier I am not arguing with you at that one. I was just pointing the syntax. Myself using the first one. But then as @devmg said, that syntax is necessary evil to make those things. Or you can use typedefs. Tho I prefer to use smart pointers.
-
@edwrodrig actually wrong.
The pointer is part of the name,
int *a, b, *c; // a pointer, b int, c pointer
If it is part of the type you could just write:
int* a,b,c; // and all would be pointers! -
@nicholai nah I am taking it back, 750 has dx 12 apparently, you are right with dx.
-
@nicholai he is using 750 gpu, that has no dx12 so no point there.
-
@nicholai if we talk about gaming os, then win 8.1 has all you need, has dx11 and most gaming devices have enough stable drivers on it. What benefit has win10 over that for gaming?
-
That is sad, but maybe he didn't like you put win 10 there.
-
Try to combine zsh with termite, that is a real pleasure.
-
Funny thing about bsod is, they always claim it is a hardware error. So why fresh software os reinstall fixes it, is a mystery.
-
@elonmusk either will do
-
I don't want to cause any heat, but the whole point of this thread is, windows funboys just can't stand linux power. We really just should move on, and let windowsers suffer.
-
@Qaldim war would suggest, there are two or more, similar strength armies fighting, but honestly, linux is kicking windows and mac arses while shutting down!
-
@jhh2450 so far it was only you insulting @jpichardo (in respect of who is asshole). And for "I dont give two shits what OS ppl prefer" you do comment too often in respect to his opinion ;)
-
@jpichardo oh, sorry to hear you need to use windows. I hope you get over that ailment soon and feel ok again.
-
@jpichardo since I started using linux I feel comfortable and have easier life and I feel like I was lied to for my entire windows life. Rip my windows life
-
sudo pacman -Rsn windows

@byte my hobby is trying new languages, one day...
-
@byte I admit I never done Go. Slice is a technical term in programming, which looks like might be used wrong in Go.
In c++ vector is an implementation for dynamic sized array. Calling it vector might be a bad idea as well.
In pseudo programming, if somebody would use SLICE word, I would understand it as a view in to a subset of an array. There you wouldn't need a capacity obviously.
Sorry for misunderstanding. -
@byte array slices is a subset extract from an array. Slices intention is a view in to the array. Capacity has no meaning here.
-
@pascal-dev learning is a good thing, depends how much you want to learn.
-
@Linux I upvoted because it is linux, but 10 times for debian? :)
-
Well:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
And a summary
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
Please can you provide some explanation for stating error and bug are two different things, and error and glitch are two different things.
Thank you
Regards
One the dump ppl, who is eager to correct his wrong thinking -
Arch, even they claim they are lightweight, so very little new things to learn. Right after you finish installing.
-
@Zennoe do you mean if internally it is just a pointer, a current size and a capacity (c++ vector)? I guess slices don't have the capacity. Usually they are readonly in respect to pushing more items.
-
@qbasic16 can you reply me, I just want to give you two ++ for this one :)
