@IntrusionCM Thanks, I'll check this out.
-
@AleCx04 Companies don't really bother keeping docs up-to-date. The documentation I used didn't even have the right commands to run the thing xD
-
@IntrusionCM Venv's are great. It's the only reason I'm still able to get work done.
-
@NoToJavaScript Just try pip for once, it'll change your mind.
-
Most of the problems arise because there are 2 different Python versions and many projects still use Python 2

So I've been thinking if I want to start at top and move down ( in terms of company size ) or the other way around. I already worked in temporary roles at early stage startups ( even building an MVP). So it makes sense to move up slowly. Company B sounds more reasonable to me right now.
-
@devphobe Thanks for the suggestion.
-
@WeAreMany I live in a constant state of Hussle. I think I'm gonna stay in this state for a while. Makes B more suitable but joining a Unicorn as a fresher can be a whole different experience. I also want to experience how things work in a large corp.

Fuck stonks
-
@RememberMe Agreed. But what's the point of having a software so shitty that you wanna call their customer care and say "FUCK YOU" and hang up without even bothering to hear the response.
Ps: I didn't do that. -
Wow, thanks! I'll keep that in mind.
-
@Jilano That's how 10X coders are made
-
Just postgres
-
@Conrad You'll find more people on Signal these days.
-
So lots of GitLens, LiveServer. These are all super useful basic extensions. I was expecting someone to say VS Code stories tho😂
-
@impune-pl Thanks. What if I don't have a 9/5 job? You didn't understand. I'm wasting the entire time doing nothing.
-
@SortOfTested That's a valid point. I'll clear this up before starting.
-
@BugsBunny The pay is low (because there's no funding). Yes, I don't have industry experience apart from internships and freelance.
The position is of Full-stack developer as I'll be building the whole product along with a tech advisor but I'll also be a co founder as in owner of the company. That is something, right? -
@BugsBuggy Yeah PUBG mobile was a decent community. I used to play it with friends.
-
@Root I believe such people are the reason that there are a very few women in gaming. Infact I've never seen a girl in random matchmaking.
-
@bagfox My point is they bully people who come to enjoy the game (not everyone plays to become shroud). This makes the gaming experience worse. Muting is an option but does it even matter after they have called you out for not knowing X or Y. And would you mute knowing people are talking shit behind your back. I see a few people trying to stop them but they won't.
Sorry but I won't try to justify me using strong language for such people. -
@bagfox sorry, what? I never call anyone noob or curse them for not playing well.
-
Time for a job switch 😉
-
@sladuled I did none of these. They are definitely kicking me out.

Is coughing in a Zoom call allowed?😷

The reason for VSCode stories to be a success in my opinion is Ben Award's following and network. He is a tech celeb. Everything he creates is bound to be a sensation in a good way or a bad way (in this case there were mixed opinions). If someone with a very little following were to do the same, I bet we wouldn't have even heard of it. That's how it works.

@3rdWorldPoison Picked answers aren't always worth the time.
-
I'll be honest. I code in the dark mode and prefer everything else in light mode (especially reading a doc or something) with very low brightness. So yeah, I still have cornea :/
-
@devJs The list goes on. Your comment is so apt.
-
@DBX Don't worry those developers would never come anywhere near devRant. What do they got to rant about? Their content getting stolen?😂
