How come you didn’t wake up 1 hour later with the program doing the logging crashing because it overflowed in memory and couldn’t flush the logs to disk? 😦

@N00bPancakes that’s happened to me as well. Lots of devs end up choosing my management because of a “smaller workload” type of deal and because they become naturally more vocal in the org.

I just dont find it very rewarding to do management. It irks me.

@SortOfTested agreed. I think I’m in that kind of org now where I’m expected to delegate most of the programming work and only do “higher level” software design instead.

Impressed to see that it’s still working but I hope they don’t misattribute slowness and other issues to linux rather than the out of date hardware you have.

Its pretty frightening that most of “Big Software Company” exists of software developers that are essentially Leetcode grinders. I’ve heard too many stories about what a nightmare it is to work in such places especially when it comes to on-call.

I was in a dog friendly office for 2 years. On multiple occasions the dogs would just poop in the office. Not fun.

@Lahsen2016 by using GCC pre-3.x. Really any recent version of a Compiler will tell you you missed a semicolon.

The goal is not to only use one hand - if you're going to navigate again it's normal to hit esc and go to normal mode to navigate. Your right hand would stay around hjkl but your left can also do a bunch of things.

If it's a single 8GB module rather than 2 4GB modules then this will actually save battery life I think. I'm not aware of any 8G single modules though so probably the 6G, I'd say just go with the 6G since you say you won't need much RAM.
