Sure am. Decided to do this year in ruby. Never really made it past day 10, but we’ll see what happens.
-
Went from 2 inches to 1 inch?
-
I worked with php for about 2 months and it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I’d heard a lot of horror stories and thought it was just this awful language. Turns out, it’s not that bad a language. The person who wrote the code just sucked ass.
-
@SidTheITGuy respect to you man. I’m more talking about the people who just use tech so guys like mkbhd or mrwhosetheboss or even like tech news outlets. If I wanna know what’s actually going on, I’ll watch someone like LowLevelLearning or John Hammond (like I mentioned above)
-
@Lensflare yeah kinda confused by the purpose of the app as well
-
@Lensflare I mean with the way we’re using it it’s almost like Snapchat but without pictures and predefined messages? Maybe? We just keep tickling each other back and forth. I think you could use it by putting chores or something on it and so you can let your partner know when you finish a task or something or like when you’re heading home from work
-
@Lensflare we connected. @K-ASS I’d recommend making usernames not case sensitive
-
@K-ASS also, what font did you use for the titles?? It’s great!
-
@K-ASS aight so I haven’t checked into this app in a few but omfg I love the ui it’s awesome. I haven’t even done anything yet and I love it. I was able to sign in and I got the verification email. I don’t have a partner so someone’s gotta be my partner 🥰. My username is cnnr
-
@K-ASS aight so this sounds awesome and I’d love to test it but problem. I’m as single as you can get and that ain’t changing anytime soon
-
What’s the app?
-
Bunch a stuff android did years ago
-
Stockholm syndrome?
-
Map
-
@Root honest question. What do you replace it with? Sure it’s bloated, but it’s pretty useful bloat tbh.
-
Reject VSCode
Switch to neovim -
@jestdotty stay on manjaro if you’re happy with it! My system broke and wouldn’t boot and I figured why not, y’know? Manjaro’s fine, I just kind of grew out of it

“A new error is progress” - me

The best advice anyone ever gave me about being in high school (I feel like I’m qualified to talk about this being in high school and also doing some programming on the side) is, “Spend as much time as you can with your buddies, but also especially with your family. Everything just changes once you graduate.” For reference, this was said by my cousin who graduated at the end of May this year. He ended up getting a full ride scholarship to a good university. Don’t waste your time trying to just build a career. Invite some friends over. Don’t think about your career all the time. Also, family is realllly important. Don’t forget to spend time with them too. I don’t mean you shouldn’t think about starting a career, but you’re 13. You’ve got plenty of time. If you play your cards right, you could leave high school with a lot of experience making side projects and be able to get any job you want after you graduate. Wishing the best for you and I hope this helps!

Which Star Wars movie though?? 🤔
-
Nah it’s all about bun install now and it’s BLAZINGLY FAST lmao

@jiraTicket It was a call to update a user. I’m using JS for the project and sent a fetch request to the API. It looked something like this:
let updated user = JSON.stringify({
//updated user
});
await fetch(url, {
body: JSON.stringify(updatedUser)
});
So I didn’t really learn anything. I was just plain stupid. I think I wrote the request first and then wrote the actual updated user code and didn’t realize I already stringified it in the request. -
You should get a barstool and keep a small collection of space jam DVDs (maybe 5 or 10) on it and never let anyone sit on the barstool. Serial killer type stuff
-
This helps me appreciate my family, and helps me understand what other people are going through or have already gone through. No family is perfect, especially some, but I wouldn't call this a family. A family should be loving and caring, but this was the opposite. Wish you the best!!
