The problem isn't whether or not one of you is lying.
The problem is that the manager isn't ready to listen.
I don't think you have any option other than let the matter escalate and explain to the manager's boss.
Or involve him yourself.

There is one problem with an APC 1100VA unit though: it has a fan for cooling(600VA one doesn't) which is said to be loud.

Get one with 1100 VA. The power factor is 0.6 so you'll only get 660W of capacity. the 600VA one will get you 360W. Not enough for a proper gaming rig.

@pleuph Find out what it stems from: you or them.
If it's you doing the wrong job, doing the job too slowly, or something else, make changes to prevent that.
If it's something out of your control such as commute, bad company culture, HR, then best to leave and go elsewhere. Sometimes it's also salary that's not in your control.
