@Fast-Nop code changes that are commented code - it has nothing to do with commit comments. If you are familiar with Sonarqube, these commented codes are flagged as a code smells which prompts developers to rework and delete that code.
-
I'm ok with code with comments but not commented code 😉
-
Commented code (during commits) = piece of garbage
-
@Stuxnet oh yeah I forgot; the disease is not airborne
-
@asgs they came from mainframe background mostly - they don't need it
-
@Stuxnet the masks would have helped protect the employees from getting the disease
-
The challenge I am seeing is the fatigue associated with too much workload and if I would still be able to go to the gym by EOD
-
Getting headaches mostly on messy file structure, spaghetti callbacks, overwritten jQuery scripts doing weird stuff, angular version update and the plain ugly sight of the html with material tags all over. The list goes on and I see no hope.
-
@heyheni 😂
-
@rithvikp in my experience, they wouldn't. Everyone would continue on their work and still try to please the manager. Occasional small lies are a minor thing given the workload in the team
-
In Manila, it kind of already is a lifestyle, but not true for everyone @Fradow
-
Kudos to that; we invite other devs too every Friday @fattymiller
-
We're from the same university and college. He has a wife and even told me she has no idea of this nightly habit. Didn't want to confirm it tho @YousifMansour
-
Yep around 3 times a week @carlosjpc
-
.gitignore works there perfectly!
-
To work on a collab on top of working full time in a 3rd world archipelago, i might as well die @Proximyst
-
Tweeted for reference
-
Lol somebody should arrest your manager @hashris
-
@hashris that's such a pain! I would at least tell everyone to delete build files (if there are any) before zipping and sending
-
Manager: we're gonna be OK. STORAGE IS CHEAP
-
Pardon, the right word should be publicly. The apps have only been downloaded and installed via email. @Alice
-
Follow me on twitter eugenesergio. I'll follow back @Devnergy
-
Are you also dev? @Devnergy
-
Me too. Lol let's keep it down pre. @Devnergy
-
Right now I have wireframe written on paper I can send you via email. So far, ongoing with the boilerplates in Java. Let's discuss via email @j-dev-o
-
Wait til you encounter a roadblock. But if all goes well, keep coding
-
I didn't know what actually caused it to be unusable. Will probably reformat or search some fix @okkimus

1. When you learn Android apps are written in Java and you know Java
2. Attempts to learn basics
3. Experience build errors
4. Start a simple app
5. Found out other 3rd party libraries
6. Refactor as app gets more complex
7. Found out about architecture and how challenging it is to implement
8. Rewrite or give up?
9. Go back to #4 -
Just build something to get your feet wet. Start making a web project using just bare HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Eventually you'll be able to expand what you know as you explore the possibilities
-
Yep and both are OOP languages. Would like to learn a little bit of C# too for game development @Gregozor2121
