@CodeMasterAlex Google has abandoned several of its projects/services before. It’d be pretty bad to be told for example 5 years from now that you have 3 months to D/L all your photos from G Photos since all of a sudden it’s decided that the service will no longer be available. Just a thought.
And there's always the nightmare scenario that google mistakenly bans your account.
You should always have an offline backup. Whether you don't have internet access or if you no longer have access to your account, you should have something that doesn't rely on a cloud backup. -
@yashjha0007 Which college do you attend and also which city are you in? Here in Bangalore hackathons giveaway a lot of dev-swag.
-
@yashjha0007 Ashal mei bahut sei Developer and Infosec Conference, Hackathons, etc., mei event sponsors free mei publicity ke liye distribute karte hai aise stickers. Google aur Amazon Alexa maximum event ke sponsors hote hai.... so unke stickers jyada dikhte hai usually.
-
@yashjha0007 Pahle pahle maine jab bakiyo ko sticker lagate dekha toh mujhe bhi maan kiya tha... but after spending around ₹300 on them and getting scammed, I have left interest in these stupid laptop stickers :(

@suprano If you're an Amputee and you know it, Clap your Hands!
-
@theKarlisK I had ordered a unix sticker pack of 50 worth $4 from Alibaba but still haven't received them, after 3 months. So, maybe just avoid those Chinese sites!
-
lmao... I came here for this exact same reason. CHEERS! 😆

Now, sometimes you can't have logical discussions with group members to use something out of their comfort zone. Well then you're stuck. Just like in the real world, sometimes you can't control everything. I had a professor ask us to make a project and use JUnit to test it. Midway through he said, "by the way, JUnit is probably not the best tool for the job. Have fun."
Lesson 5: When decisions are out of your control, accept it. Don't get angry. Just bear down and make it work.
By the way, I have a person I work with who disappears for hours at a time (they're gone 7 of 8 hours). When they are at their desk they're looking up places to eat on google or job hunting. Group projects are very real world. -
@Loris It was an infosec conference.
-
@electrineer Now that my dude explains everything. Thanks for such a wonderful explanation!
-
Let me guess... You're from India. Right?
Coz this kind of shit only happens in India. -
@Condor Ty ty! ☺️
-
@Condor Oww.. lol
So, I was just asking that what kind of certification programs are you currently pursuing, having dropped out from your college? 😅 -
@gathurian Not just any linux distro but "Arch Linux"!

@jonii If not for useless rabbitholes, the internet and honestly all of humanity, would not exist, or...again...bourbon.
