@lungdart I didn't mean the customer, was mostly ranting about the company. Anyway I get your point and agree 💯
-
Sounds good, can I have an ETA for that please?

Dude, work is work, what you are looking for is called hackathon 🙃 -
Also known as promise-that-I-can-report-forward-but-take-zero-responsibility-for
-
I would watch this series
-
We feel your pain
-
@electrineer agreed.
I am on the eloquent side of conversations and I learn how to be better at it when people interrupt me in a kind way, and somehow expose this flaw I have. -
@IntrusionCM spot on the quantum comparison
-
"Get Started" could improve readability. The white text is a little harder to spot there.
-
@dontbeevil absolutely
-
@dontbeevil nope, I have a macos
-
@dontbeevil I also have a Windows laptop which I hardly remember when it had a BSOD.
It's been off for years though. -
Maybe you are still asleep and this is all a dream
-
Bug, feature, it is a matter of perspective. Just rename your game to "<game name>: Poltergeist" and move on with your life.
-
@12bitfloat +1. Apart from gaming. For that Windows is still my go to system.
I love macos for development -
@cprn doing that improvement and helping the company moving forward is the value we bring, it would not jeopardize our jobs.
-
I feel you and agree. At least, not every dev can thrive in those jungles and being capable to deal with it happily became my ticket to asking good money and payrises.
Its a trade off, kinda selling the soul to the devil. -
@yehaaw good luck 🙏
-
@yehaaw are you looking for another job? If not what's holding you?
-
Imagine code review...
- Wait, you can't have the whole program just like that in one single file. You need to structure it.
- ok, hold my beer - [encloses whole prog in one if] -
@marcus5914 guide him through reflecting on previous mistakes not by giving answers, but giving questions.
- What failed?
- What was the implication(s)?
- What was the fix?
- If you could go back in time, what would you advise yourself in order to avoid the event?
- Which other previous mistakes would have been mitigated this way?
- What will help you remember this next time? - if they go with "I will not forget" let them fail again, and reapproach now asking for something other than "just remembering"
I second you, failure is ok as long they come as learning and raise the bar. Some people just don't know how to "navigate" failure, so you step in and lead the way through this realisation. -
@AvatarOfKaine sorry for hearing about those things and the way you feel. Easier said than done, but you decide how much these factors affect your mood, so I hope you manage to create peace inside yourself regardless of what the world is outside.

Is that the else block 1120 lines long?
-
Sounds exciting
-
I want rum
-
Talk to QAs before coding, not after. That's on you too.
-
Once I had a code nightmare. Still trying to wake up
-
Were the 2 bad words "fuck" and "javascript"?
-
Glassdoor it please

Cereal what?
