Well I taught him to use git flow as pull requests with 3 other employees. I suggest using many different solutions other than code that has no structure or sense. I am here because it pays a lot. I'm not great at finding jobs. I don't care if we had our own framework but everywhere with look it's an antipattern. I can't type enough how frustrating all this is. I'm trying to tell him how to set a reverse proxy for node, disregards me for hours on the line and just monkeys around into 3 hours later he realizes he has to do EXACTLY what I said and he then explains it to me as if he found something new. At the 7th hour on call watching him haggle together a system and refusing to install git locally to get it to work I am at wits end. I have never worked with someone that disregards everything you say, why do they pay me so much if they don't listen? Nothing makes sense. Then I get told we got to stop setting things up, I'm like I was set up with node in 5 minutes its you drinking around!

Thank you this rant made my day. I don't think it's just a female thing but the control-freak coming at you -- only because this has happened to me a lot and I have considered bridge jumping.

I think Laravel is good for what PHP is -- being a horrible, horrible language I've written ten plus years. However, I feel that: Phalcon, Laravel, Symfony 4, and Slim are the best PHP gets. Yet, I'll take Django any day over all of these -- it saves so much time, SO MUCH.

Ha that sucks. I had a client I showed my Python code to (Django), he saw Markup in the templates and was furious it was not Python. I tried to explain Jinja2, then reason with him on how things work.. Miserable, had to refund half the payment, I think he was haggling from the start anyways. I hope you get that SSH!

In PHP OctoberCMS is quite cool, built on Laravel. I like it much more, coming for 5.5 soon too. Just my opinion, and I haven't had any happiness with WP myself.

You may have a poor CEO, had similar issues at a startup.. Was a fun place to work though.
