-
@JhonDoe
> "English is hard"
*Laughs in spanish* -
Waiting for someone to install doom on it.
-
@vlatkozelka In the end they Will dissapear, just like the semicolons 😄
-
@kwilliams That's cute. We real men write the machine code directly into the cpu
-
@Stuxnet for my last birthday, some Friends took me to drink like at 2:00 pm, a Monday... I skipped the rest of the classes I had thay day 😅😂
-
Thid was me once I tried clojure 😊
-
@pitzyrulz 😮
-
Sadly nope, but I have learnt the lesson now
-
@AlpineLinnix Huawei Mate SE. Pretty good price/quality ratio.
-
@AlpineLinnix yup, have an old one (not an smartphone), but recently I could afford a new one
-
@tracktraps wow man thanks so much for the info! Yeah I meant Linux mint, don't know how I typed cinnamon :/
Well I guess you convinced me :), I will try an arch based distro and see how it goes, although I'll have to be extra careful. In fact I have a live USB with antergos from like a month ago, but haven't used it much. Guess now it's the time!
Thanks for your advice! -
@lotd did Ubuntu replaced the windows bootloader?
-
@chaddhag I could try it, but virtualbox tends to be slow on my computer so that's why I wanted dual boot
-
@tracktraps honestly because I have been using it for a while and it just works out of the box (most of the time) which in this case is want I want since I will be using it for work. I can't afford to experiment and mess things up with this laptop, that's what I use the desktop computer for.
I have heard that other distros like cinnamon are also good at this.
Which distros do you recommend? I'm open to suggestions. -
Man this would be a good first paragraph in a mystery/drama book
-
I'm so so sorry for your loss man, I also have a cat so I feel you
-
I also used to prefer no braces for single lines if statements, but with time I have realized that you don't know when you will have to add more lines, so now I just add the braces
-
@coolq man that's a pretty cool thing to say, like make your own tools, just for fun. And yes, handling terminal escaping characters, inserting and deleting characters, handling tabs etc is pretty boring and tedious, but the end result is gratifying :)
-
@legionfrontier for now yes, but I prefer hjkl for navigation, and I would like to implement at least insert and normal mode, although that will be later.
-
How does someone like that even get a job? Shouldn't the interview process detect and avoid that kind of people?
-
At least they didn't drag you out of the plane...
-
I mostly use Hackernews and reddit
-
I'm writing in PHP, I know that you're lying :(
-
@theScientist typed languages are not a thing of the past, they provide a safety way to find what should be compile time errors, not runtime ones
-
It annoys me that the ok button is at the left and not to the right
-
Dude you're 12, enjoy your age. I'm 22, and full of classes, projects and exams in university. I wish that I had all the free time that I had when I was 17. Some day you wake up, and realize how fast time passes in front of you.
-
If what, IF WHAATTT??!!
-
Welcome to the family :) soon you will be typing :wq everywhere
-
Then why you even started programming then?
