Even if I started with Linux when you needed 30 floppy disks to install it and from time to time you needed patch a kernel driver or two :--) I still currently prefer a graphic editor like VS Code or even Jet Brain suite.
I think it's a good thing we're different.
Now we have both vim and emacs because someone was different. :-) -
