@Coffe2Code data validation, GDPR, linked lists 🙂

I just wrote an article about generating PNG images with React, Vue or Angular!

Wow you can finally write a Java hello world here!
-
@Holyfield3000 why? :(
-
I made a neural network in plain ES6 but I can't figure out how to use a microwave oven
-
My opinion:
Easiest: Ruby
Best: OCaml -
Am I the only one who does not love Python?
I mean, it's good but... did you try Elixir? -
@BigBoo not shit? I personally think that is the worst programming language to write in 2018.
It had sense in 90's, but now I can't find a single reason to use it (except for mantaining old legacy code).
Slow. Verbose. Broken. Ugly. Memory killer.
Just my thoughts, I know a lot of people doing amazing things in Java... but does it still have sense in 2018? -
@nitwhiz ok so what about Node? OCaml? Erlang Beam? Or any programming language which produces bytecode? Or (why not) interpreted languages like Python, Ruby?
Seriously, I can't find a single reason to use Java 😱 -
And that's why of the Java logo.
You can also cook french fries on your CPU while running the JVM. -
@rpbp if you'll like functional programming, I would recommend OCaml, it's a bit hard to learn but it gives you endless possibilities (native iOs and Android, native Desktop applications, web servers, JavaScript, micro processors etc.).
It's also pretty close to C in terms of performances! -
@rpbp I have two O'Reilly books (Real World Haskell and Hand on Machine Learning) and I find them to be my favourite source for documentation!
I am mainly a functional programming guy (Haskell, Elixir, ReasonML and... JavaScript ES6) and I find C++ to be a bit complex... but I can clearly understand its value! -
@rpbp you're right, but I'm interested in the core concepts of this programming language 🙃
-
@bigworld12 zero experience with C# 😪 I heard a lot of people telling great things about this language 😁
-
@Holyfield3000 yes they helps a lot! And I find them to be less "distractive" than video tutorials. With real books, you can take your time to think about what you are reading, without the pressure of following such a complex topic like programming is on a video 😁

Is xml still a thing?
-
AWS Lambda, AWS DynamoDB + AppSync, AWS S3 and Vue/React. That's all you need!
Also Elixir Phoenix + Vue/React and AWS RDS is a great option if you want to keep an MVC approach! -
main :: IO ()
main = do
putStrLn "Happy programmer's day!" -
GraphQL is a dream for frontend devs... and a nightmare for backend ones 😭
-
I'm currently on Bitbucket and it has some nice features (free private repos, pipelines etc). GitLab is so unstable 😔
-
@perotti I've starting implementing some new feature in a big webapp (ES6) following some common Haskell patterns and I feel like my productivity has grown a lot.
I'm following a "test driven development" logic and a functional and declarative approach flavours that kind of development pattern 😁 -
@eeee thank you!
-
@PreyK that was exactly my first though! ahahahahahahah
-
@kgbemployee I'm reading an hour of "Real World Haskell" book a day! I really like it.
I am a former Node developer and I always used a FP approach, but Haskell is something really different from anything that I ever tried! -
@Stuxnet ahahah you're right! With Arch it would be a great joke
-
this made my day 😂
-
React.js was a great example of "how you should not license your open source project"
