I'd go for it. Get that big name on your CV. Maybe get into software defined networking - I reckon that's a growing
After a year of working there, you'll be able to go anywhere and there's nothing stopping you from coding your own projects at home. -
Delete from employees...
Foreign key ref errors break the command -> nothing happens -
Search your gym on Google and look at the graph it gives you showing busy hours 😁 👌🏼
-
@gatoMalicioso dont stress about it. They might be angry at first, but if they care for you they will get over it.
Explaining it honestly might even allow you to keep an opportunity open if you take the new job.
If you dont, they haven't lost anything - they still need a dev. -
Seriously though, its business. They will find another dev.
Choose what pays the best or what will give you the best CV so that you get paid better in the future.
Otherwise choose what will be the most fun 👍🏻 -
Accept both offers and when they give you a start date, make the decision the morning of the start date 😁

Bloody Beetroots 💪🏼🤟🏻

Pssht I work with C#, tfs, azure devops and find it shit easy.
I can (and have) happily switch to python, php, deploy a lamp stack, use linux cli.
Just saying... I dont think the technology is the problem 🙂 -
I did it...
My advice: Dont be a pussy 😁
Do it for discipline firstly and health secondly. Big guns come as a side effect. -
A real tricky question, have never found a perfect method to deal with this.
My belief is that a micro service should have its own entities and there should be public repository of DTOs where each microservice is responsible for mapping the required data from its own entities into the public DTO and then sending the DTO onto a bus of sorts.
Maybe ship the public DTOs with service bus interface code. -
Group Orgy 😁
-
Have the same thing now.
Right click... add new project and feel good.
Best part is making a nice file structure 😁
#GreenfieldsFuckYeah -
Careful! Those yellow screens track your IP, GPS location and also take a photo from every device you have connected with a camera and send them to the administrator - they're onto you 😶
-
Easiest bug fix ever 😎😁 no need to read code and look for holes, just delete and rewrite.

Walking home feeling good...
Siren starts ringing...
Gets in car and drives home 😁 -
Can someone please bring me up to speed on the duck thing!
I'm totally lost 🤔
Where did it come from, what does it mean?
It's like pineapple on pizza - what is this thing!? -
@codekidX god just created a rant about you calling his work poor 😂😂😂
-
@devios1 wow what a factual - well thought out arguement.
Well played sir 😂😂😂 -
That beer looks great 😁
-
Hahaha my work PC has a 100 gig SSD.
I sometimes clear chrome cache for space 😁
"...that sweet gigabyte." -
@jackhartley problem is people think windows is bad quality software when they just dono how to use it.
I don't jump into a linux box, get lost with tryna run a program from the cli then call linux a piece of crap.
They are both great tools.
I feel like people get a kick out of ranting about windows when they're actually (in my mind) making a fool of themselves. -
Push at the eeeend of the day and run!
Good luck 😁😂 -
Your desk looks quite thin when considering the heavy duty machinery on it...
Just saying xD
Nice setup :) -
@Stuxnet 100% agree.
Devs ranting about an OS is like a swimmer ranting about water used in the pool...
Get over it >.< -
It worked! 😁
A little refactoring in a helper method *cough cough*, but otherwise pull request & forget 😋 -
When people ask me if i prefer backend or frontend dev I prefer backend, but I dont necessarily enjoy doing those queries and admittedly am quite good with frontend as well.
Question:
What do you say in that situation since most queries you use as a backend dev (for me at least) are not 200+ line monsters?
Just now you get put on 'backend' dev writing that shit for the rest of your life 😋 -
Hahaha! Same where I work... waaaait a minute 😉😉
We have 1/3 stalls where the IsInUse() validation actually works (far left). -
Nice separation of concerns...
Desk space...
Stuff space (including mouse and keyboard) 🙂 -
Excellent prank! I tip my hat to you.
It's all very well saying that you kept him away from work for 4 days until some malicious person walks into the office and finds an unlocked PC to bring chaos to the system.
My db sits logged in to live with insert and update privileges there for the taking, so when I step away from it for more than 5 seconds I lock that shit up. I expect other devs to take the same responsibility.
Shame on them if they think a little prank is worse than teaching someone a valuable lesson.
