We are going to need a new scale of dumb fuckerness for this one
-
Ask for read access to the codebase and start trying to figure out how stuff works
Get access to the ticket backlog and see if there is anything you can do. You can often find some easy shit no one wanted to do. -
Prices law -> the square root of the number of people do 50% of the work.
It is endemic
No escape -
@ZioCain sultans of swing from Alchemy is 10.54@Katupel the one from Alchemy is 10.54 listen to that one :->

How do you feel about 2038?
Like Y2K you won’t know if your code / OS is ok unless you test it.
Favourite Y2K story. Japanese aviation y2k readiness team were put in an aircraft just before midnight and flown around. -
Humans will have fucked it up long before AI gets a chance
-
Never never never ever indent with tabs

Let’s hope they get all their banking and credit card details stolen by organised crime.
Coz if it’s weak enough for gov to hack I guarantee it’s weak enough for a black hat to crack. -
You will feel bad about it afterwards and it will sort of prove in their mind they were right not to pay.
Keep the moral high ground.
Shits gonna break anyway then when they need you back charge double in advance. -
If you like pipeline bash you are gonna love concourse.
-
“I don’t like your solution “ WTAF!
PRs are welcome-> RESOLVE -
Probably because they are MiTM Ing all your traffic but can’t decrypt the WhatsApp traffic.
So for DLP they just block it. -
Seems very mild punishment for breaking master

This is the problem of overlapping normal distributions.
This means
1. All of the most disorganised people have typos on their resume.
2. so do a large number of average organised people.
3. Most average organised people will have no typos on their resume.
4. None of the most organised people has a typeo on their resume.
so if you are looking for some one at the extreme end of the organised bell curve they won't have any errors on their resume.
Likewise for the other indicators. -
I can't say for node.js but Java is a crap solution.
Maybe it runs your destructors maybe it don't
Then the GC will kick in and dos your whole stack. -
@billgates i said the opposite always use / it works in windows and *nix
-
Set the password to ******** then put that as plain text in your code. No one will try it because they will assume it is redacted.
-
Windows accepts / anyway why use \ at all ?
-
@Root utf8mb4 deserves an entire rant on its own.
Oracle are total wankers -
If no one suggests refactoring your code in their code review then you are not a junior.
-
Does all X where X is not <feature> have unit tests?
If not then yes you are fucked -
Never, Never, EVER, tell plebs how long something will actually take.

For tech courses Mac has the best compromise. You have native bsd and better gui and video editing capabilities than Linux.
-
Hi is like a TCP SYN

-f ?

Support will get confused without any help. Like you started a fire on the sun.
-
That is totally normal, happens all the time.
You know that first day you were subconsciously analysing the problem and working out why the first approach was flawed.
You never could have written the second days code without the experience of the first day even if you don't realise it at a conscious level. -
The fuck?
That is several orders of magnitude beyond micro management. nano management ?
Normal manager is "what did you do yesterday", "what will you do today"
A PM should be at sprint planning/ backlog refinement.
GTFO of there. -
I thought stratum 15 was an error condition indicating an un-referenced clock?
Also the errors won’t just add could be RMS or some complex formula.
