Thinking of migrating from github to gitlab, thoughts?
(or just set up my own hosting but not really inspired)

love to hear some suggestions and arguments for services you use!

(mind you I am not that informed of the politics of the different platforms)

Helped a friend, eho is a Phd student formulate an argument for the uni why they should make programming mandatory for Phd student who study bioanalytics, ffs why the hell should they have to argu for it...

All he does on thr day are either taking samples or building porgrams to analys that samples if he is not writting documentation for the research...

ffs... the uni are supost to be the smart ppl... what do they think the future will look like?! less data minging when it comes to genom and rna analytics?!

hope no one takes offence but I miss that ppl do not use !Rant at the stsrt of posts asmuch?!

Now I'm irritated about me being irritated by that...

my dad message me 7 am, with spec on a raspberry he got and the question if python was similar to C (he programmed C, 20 years or so ago.)

my responde: "I will set up a git for you, and we can learn python together"
dad: "what is a git?"

I am deep onto a project that helps me learn a new lang, so of what ever resone I didnt implement testing of latest code jntil afterwards...
but when I wrote the test and it worked on first time... thene wrote test still worked.. wrote failing test and it failed... as it was suppose to...

*nagging feeling starts*

I am still convinced that some thing is wrong... but it is my personally hobby project so I have this terrified excited expectation of the future of my project xP

Everytime I find a new open repository, it is really humbling that there are so many projects with creative solution to problems.

friends project: android app that start counting when touch event happens.

and fails to do so...
(after substancial help, I showed him wht ge failed but did understand)

A company hires him as android developer...

not sure I am glad for him, this cannot end well...
