@Krokoklemme It evolved from our initial python script that just sends a hard-coded bytearray to PowerOn / Discover consoles.
At that time we did not understand the protocol at all.. but well, we started from there, so python.
We are collaborating with somebody writing a c# version of the protocol. -
PS: Tools from OpenXbox DON'T require any modification to the console.
-
@S-Homles-MD is sysupdate version low enough to jailbreak?
Would like to try that too, but I am all team Xbox.
However, getting a ps4 to see Linux running on it sounds tempting. -
@theKarlisK so far MS has been pretty tolerant.. hopefully it stays that way..
-
how is PH and chlorine level? which type of pump are you using?
essential questions! -
@Skayo understandable, it looks odd at first.
More specific: Make 433Mhz as secure / drive-by-secure as possible.
It's obvious that basic communication over this band is normally not implemented securely at all.
See it as 'SFTP over self-constructed TCPish protocol over UDP' - if you know what I mean.
Overkill but interesting nonetheless imo -
@BigBoo yep, will happily put something together when money comes in again to get the required components.
-
Thanks for your input, it all makes sense! Not sure if session keys are really required for such small private usecase - well, if everything fits on the arduino in the end, it will be fine to implement.
Forgot to add a requirement btw: Sequence number!
So my question is basically, if somebody knows, am I reinventing the wheel here? Or do you know of trustworthy libs to achieve such protocol scheme on arduino? -
@7400 just checked, I have the Addon "TrackMeNot" installed.. And most Google pages blocked in NoScript.. That could be the source of the problem ^^
-
@-vim- thanks, I already use it ;)
-
@Jilano that would be a rather good compliment from Google right there! I doubt it though, at least User-Agent + IP.. And stored cookies should make me trackable.
I will look at a packet dump of all outbound traffic and verify browser extensions when I am in front of the machine, maybe that shows something obvious! -
@tisButABug nope, I am not, not using any proxy/anonymizer/tunnel - maybe I should start doin so?
-
@HelloUglyWorld @Brolls s/from the top of my head/off the top of my head/ - not a native speaker :P

@qwert it's better suited as rant/story? I actually found it quite funny.. So it looked like a joke to me..
-
After I failed to install SUSE Linux (iirc 8.2) which came on 10 CDs and with a big ass user manual, bought at the flea market at the age of 8 - some time later I got Ubuntu 7.10 and it led me to the first successful Linux install. Childhood memories :D
-
N*1 here
-
@justwellbrock yeah, I am aware of that, just found it matching in this case. Also, I dont like the "original usage" of the term big data - everybody tosses it around, only few really know what it means.
-
Just toying around I guess, you could probably alter their algorithm too.. utilizing their sensors in another way etc...
But mainly just for fun
PS: Mine has not even arrived yet.. -
Xiaomi Mi Vacuum it is
-
@Wack thats a better idea than vacuuming for sure :D
I could also make it an amazon alexa bot possibly heh -
happy birthday fellow pythoniac

are you still working on gaming console stuff? ;)
