@retoor Yeah. To be fair it's more them selling graphics work. As in printing n stuff.
-
@Jason yes
-
@retoor I work for a company selling paper products now. Fuuuck. 😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😅
-
@MammaNeedHummus dang Mamma got the hookup how can I spend 16 hours a day on YT and miss such a gem.
Thank you -
@retoor had me at CSS back-end engineer. 😂😂
-
@DeepHotel the bigger the amount of code the longer everything takes.
Ideally you just want a singular commit or just a few for a specific feature. If that feature is too big you will mess up in other ways especially if you dont do CI. -
@coldfire you mean the guy literally spending all day most days just pranking Dwight? Well no thanks you can keep him. 😂
-
"Hello world! Ready for my bugs? :)"
-
Stardew valley is/was made by one person the fact it even came out was a wonder on it's own. You could probably report the bug though.
We all make dumbdumb mistakes. -
@retoor yeah, I might just be a grumpy back-end dev. But tf ya'll doing thought the front-end was just output + some interactions.
But nooo, yall gotta transpile and route and component and etc.
I'm like wasn't I supossed to be doing the annoying ds&a so you could have an easy time. Yet you make it so complex. 🫡 -
Everything about the website tells you it is a place where you can ask until you actually do ask and get flamed and closed for asking a duplicate question.
If you have a "novel" question you'll get a few not answering your question but instead saying just use lib X or complete wrong answers.
Honestly I'd rather chatGPT instead of being flamed down for not knowing everything.
Anyhow SO is dying last I heard people not willing to deal with karmawhores opt for AI solutions. -
@kiki yachts are expensive to own as hell. Better to be the one to own the yacht docking places. Low cost of maintenance decent profits. Also being able to turn that into more places. Until you can afford your own yacht with some spending money left. 😬
-
I love how everyone just ignored him telling people it's saas not sass.
For starting up it's fine. But as you want to scale, aka hire more people it's a tad harder to do now since ruby/rails are a bit harder to find. Not impossible but you know.
Other then that. Go for it tbh -
@Shardj at least we can. Unless you count ramming the usb slot with a stick of ram.
-
@Oktokolo I think we are in the same corner. Didn't need to clarify. I'm just saying it sucks. 😬
-
I do feel like there has been less focus on actually ranting. All around more mellow amd then you have those totally non dev related stuff which has become more prominent. Idk there is still some gold though. 🌯
-
I mean. Clear. Straight to the point. I'd honestly contact them if I did graphics.
-
@Lensflare
Don't you love it when you tell about mistake 1. It fixes it, then you tell it about mistake 2. Then about mistake 3, but it fucks up mistake 1 again. -
@retoor wait is that still a thing? Honestly never checked after I got bored of kickstarter fail vids. But yeah get the vibes. 🤗
-
@horus hmm. That when the glove comes off. 😂
-
@MammaNeedHummus the one true god. 🤗
PS. This sucker cost me so I make sure to pull it out when I can. 😂 -
@Oktokolo oh yes. I once had a neighbour ask me if I could look at his laptop. So i picked it up started it up went to login screen. I was like you said it didn't work, so what didn't. The scree- oh. How is that possible? *Shrugs* maybe the cable was lose. Anyhow should be good to recover data.
🏌️⛳ -
@Oktokolo I mean. I agree with you but not everybody thinks like this. Besides the name is wrong watering down actual deadlines. Where if we dont deliver this by X date some axe chopping will commence. 🤡
-
I mean it would be cool if it was more correct as an code explination thing.
Sometimes I'm looking at a bit of code and my brain is like herpa derp. Then slap in to chatgpt and on a very rare ocassion I'm like oooooooh shit. Yeah makes sense now.
Honestly AI in the code space for now is decently good for scaffolding.
What I predict it could be good at in the future is:
- scaffolding
- writing tests
- explaining code
But it's yet to be seen. We'll review in 5 years. -
@MammaNeedHummus rescue drone on it's way with some hummus!
-
@retoor i quit my previous job because I couldnt find nothing close by and the travel time was killing me. Housing is legit fucked rn. Not even buying just renting as well. I would have been happy with a fucking room. But nope.
-
@ElectroArchiver ah. You see. You only want to do that part time to leave some room for devrant.
Welcome back! I also recently came back. Feels good vibes. -
@retoor lmao. As much I hate it here sometimes. Wouldnt want to be anywhere else.
-
@b2plane and you can't run it locally?
-
I honestly want to shut down my LinkedIn so badly. I don't know what effect that would have though. But just the random recruiters... The influencers.
