Not worse than my cousin. I told him I bought some crypto and he remembered that he used to mine way back. So he decided to power up his old laptop and check his wallet.
He found around 1.5 btc in there, but he also checked transactions he made. He sent 650+ BTC to a hard drive that can't be recovered (He had around 30gb of pictures there and when btc wasn't worth much he tried recovering it twice in different places already :/)
He would be a millionaire now. -
I used to do the same. Now I do lazy shit in the morning, watch some crap and so one. Then I get up at lunch time, take a shower, go have lunch (usually buy it cause I'm to lazy to do that myself) and then I got to some coffee.
I ask for an XL coffee and run "yarn start"
There, now I will be productive from 2pm till (at least) 6pm. -
I love it's versatility! And how easy it is to get stuff done.
I mean, with php or python you are required to use some laravel framework and render the HTML markup.
With python you use some Jinja templates to render the markup and then require some frontend to do the rest with it.
With node.js and react? You code once and you have server and client sharing the same code. Since you are the same dev developing the client and the API you know how to adjust everything to your needs. No need to wait for someone to provide for an endpoint.
For years I felt I couldn't be a good fullstack or develop any side project without help of other because my php wasn't that great. Sure I could improve it, but then I wouldn't become a team lead in 2 years for being good at frontend.
Now, thanks to js and its possibilities I released 2 side projects in under 1 year and one of them is starting to get traction.
JS may not be the best language, but it sure is darn fast to release working stuff in it. -
@bkwilliams are you the devil or something?
-
@WhatIsHeDoing this is a different case. I agree with 200 and getting [ ] for and empty list.
But this is a case where there's no data and you get [ null ] -
@jonjo I understand both ends, but in no way an empty array should be sent with a null value inside...
-
@nano always better to receive [{}] since the client will be expecting an array in there.
-
I usually add a banana in my 404 pages with some text like "Nope, this is not it. This is a banana."
-
Just add .js at the end of any name.
Probably there's a framework or library already. -
@linuxxx yesterday night it was up and running again. Gladly I had everything there.
-
@mrstebo and another skip when they realized there were no proper backups.
-
@viking8 they have a Livestream in YouTube. No one will be fired. I guess shit happens.
-
@kiksu- I hate exercising. I hate sweeting, but for 6 months I've been exercising every week. All I did was paying a personal trainer. I can't just cancel because I don't feel like it, or skip it.
So, even if I'm not fancying at all doing exercise that day, after I'm done with it, I'm happy I went. -
@aaxa you don't need to teach him anything. Just don't fix his mess, tell him you can't do it because of some reasons and he will figure something else for sure.
-
Be assertive. Say you worked on the other tasks and that you will work on that tomorrow.
Not your fault he scheduled a meeting and didn't let his team know.
He can reschedule the meeting if he wants.
Next time he will let you know about the freaking priorities. -
Some might be due to assets.
Messengers are now packed with emojis and all that crap -
I'm reading 'the subtle art of not giving a fuck'
You should check it -

I name mine like this. There's a very valid reason for it though. -
You need to style the label for the <input type='radio'> as the button.
You're able to style the label based on the input after -
@MAGNUMpt in any case, I believe that's a bullshit agreement.
What is a good/bad performance? For all I know, they could say you performed badly even if you're the best one over there.
Ask ASAE, do it without fuss for now so you can finish the internship and then shove the complaint up their asses. -
There are several people in Portugal getting abused with such situations, just like you. That's illegal. There was even some months ago some news about situations like yours.
I bet the company got paid by the government just so you have that internship. Go to the proper local entity or write to ASAE and they will tell you what to do.
You have the right to get paid. -
I see you're Portuguese.
Aceita, nem penses duas vezes. Apenas o frio é lixado.
Just be careful with contracts before moving. -
Accept it.
I'm from Portugal, working in Poland. I make less than half and I'm able to save about 40% of that without trying hard.
I eat everyday outside, never bring food from home. It's really cheap here. A nice restaurant will cost you about 15€
A regular one will cost you 4€
Polish language itself is super hard, one of the hardest, even beats Chinese, but most young people speak English.
You can live in Warsaw with about 600€, with your family I assume 1500/2000€ would be more than enough to live.
Public transport is great and cheap, sure there's the occasional smelling person, but they're everywhere.
I believe there are also English schools, but not 100% sure about that.
You can always go back, at least you had the experience.
