I use YouTube Vanced - so far it's great 🙂

@Nanos You can just straight-on disable Windows Automatic Updates in gpedit.msc (Group Policy Editor) and do your updates manually, when it's convenient...
IIRC it is located under
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Configure Automatic Updates
Set this policy to Disable, and you're done 🙂 -
I also kinda gave up gaming - mostly because of my lack of time for it (University, youth group in my local church, and volleyball...)
I occasionally play PUBG Mobile with my friends, just for the sake of it being a group activity - albeit it's usually at most once or twice a month... -
@EV-EV Tencent Gaming Buddy works better on my Laptop... It's much smoother and faster than Bluestacks or Nox in my experience...
-
@ScribeOfGoD Thanks! Will try it definitely! 🙂
-
@ScribeOfGoD Is it something like Hiren's Boot CD? Because I checked my Windows drive manager, and also GParted (on PartedMagic), but I haven't seen unusual boot flags, etc. there...
-
@DjSall You're right: writing Hungarian text w/ SwiftKey is just tedious. In my experience Gboard performs better in terms of ease of use and writing speed - in English, Romanian and Hungarian.
The perfect keyboard for me was Swype, but now, that it's discontinued, I'm sticking with Gboard... -
@systemctl You're right - nowadays everyone does it... But sadly, I cannot find totally transparent, reliable and open-source traffic info for my region... And Waze offers me exactly that... 😕
-
@HelloUglyWorld You were right from the beginning... T_T
-
@bahua For me it works like a charm - although the latest Ubuntu update can break some things...
-
@irene That's an interesting idea - I might implement sorting just for numeric types (int, float, etc), and call it a day... 😅
-
@Kodnot Yeah, I thought about that, I just hoped, that there's sort of a "magic" C++ mechanism, that could help me... 🙂
-
Stand-up meeting in the morning...?
Sounds like a bad situation for a morning wood... 😂 -
You can still write programs in brainfuck and whitespace... 😉
-
I use Lightshot for screenshots...

@daintycode It's working :-)
-
@daintycode Yes, I found out... I installed a niche theme, VSCode (+ I Synced my settings from a Gist)), etc. - it was fully functional. Last night before sleep I had a wild thought: 'let's try the nVidia drivers'. So I installed it, and I prepared every possible forum thread on the keywords "nvidia arch drivers error". I still have to power on my machine. If it all goes down, I'm gonna install Fedora (that's what my 60 yrs old uni teacher recommended...)
-
@j4cobgarby Okay, then that might be a misunderstanding on my part... 🙂
-
@j4cobgarby Yes, I knew that, but I've heard that the Manjaro forum doesn't support AUR-based questions ( as its use is not encouraged), while the Antergos Forum does...
-
@HelloUglyWorld I started moving to Linux-compatible software (GIMP, Audacity, Atom, Bash, etc.) way back on Windows - I was really preparing for this switch, and I made sure that it'll not be painful. 🙂
-
Well... I haven't really heard much about Antergos before installing... What I knew was that it's really close to plain Arch, and that my nVidia Optimus setup (nVidia Quadro K2000M and Intel HD Graphics) won't scream at it... TBH I've been thinking between Antergos, Manjaro, Fedora and openSUSE... But I also really wanted to get into the AUR... I might as well just try this, and if it's not working, I can easily switch to something else (I have 2 weeks of vacation now)... But I really appreciate the suggestions and warnings. 🙂
-
When I was 17, I was in the same shoes... This year I'll be turning 20... Still in the same situation... 😔
-
Yeah, I will remove it ASAP... 🙂
-
Phonograph...? Is it that Open Source Music Player for Android?
-
@SteffTek Don't forget Apache Helicopter from the gender list... 😂
-
In Nigeria they do not kno de wae!
Okay, I'll stop.... But for real - I had some bad experience with learning useless things in school / uni... I mean - why should I write my HW in C++98, when we have C++2017 ??? -
There are some teachers, that do what is on the picture, but they're so unenthusiastic and numb about what they teach, that I genuinely am bored... For example there is a teacher in my uni, who teaches this way - so I'm present on lectures to get the points for it (though browsing through memes / devRant), but when it comes to learning, I usually do it @ home by researching the subject on the internet and by trial-and-error...
-
Now imagine this, but with Bash, a Package Manager (apt, pkg or pacman), Wifi, Bluetooth, and maybe SSH... That'd be totally awesome! 😃
-
Yeah, it's pretty convenient , when the troubleshooter can switch off then back on the network adapter... Like - that's what I would do... 😂
