Ever scroll through your account years later and delete some old posts as you wonder how tf did you ever think posting them was a good idea?
Yeah this one is gonna be that in a few years. -
Because scala doesnt and the kotlin team is a bunch of braindead monkeys that took the scala compiler and kicked their keyboards around until the ? operator somehow started working
-
Yes
-
@MM83 unless its just for fun, dont
-
Btw if your opinion on java is "much boilerplate" i advise you to use java that is not from 2006, because its almost on par with scala nowadays

Just fyi, ocaml has a great pdf library
-
Depends. For a project that uses few services, i would go heroku. For a full on vps, i use vultr, or arubacloud.
-
Yeah i agree, most python code shouldnt be any of those, it should be an empty file
-
@cb219 uhhhh gluon screen builder i think? I recently used it for a personal project and it worked reasonably well except the no UI scaling
-
@cb219 fx has a scene builder which is basically the android studio screen designer, its really intuitive
-
The family channel for $3 looks like a great option if you have kids ngl
-

@melezorus34 i work at a company that uses a cloud provider very heavily for all of the software, and we pay insane money, we could roll our own server farms in multiple locations for the price of maybe 6 months of bills
-
@melezorus34 @simpledev yeah so like, neither of you uses serverless for any high traffic project lol
-
Out of curiosity, how many projects do you have hosted on serverless platforms and how much do you pay monthly?
Because i rent a vps for like $10 that can handle most things including real time multiplayer servers -
Look up what a language server is, its not vsc that sucks
-
Only thing i dont know from these is 14 and maybe 17
-
@killames i meant using js, if you want to stick with python, qt is your best bet
-
@killames i like using javafx (well, scalafx), qt is probably the most popular and it has python support, or you could go electron
