record on private git-repo or post on writing community? (like Dev.tio or medium)

Uuh, a notebook that I carry. I have one small enough to fit into my back pocket for quick ideas and one bigger one I carry in my bag with my laptop for meetings and such. When at home I just pick up whichever is closer at hand

i take notes and sketches about stuff in a sketch book. sooner or later the stuff is ending up in the ticket software i built though.

I don't. That's why I never grew up

Also, if you are planning on putting up a git repo, use a public one. Others can benefit and collaborate as well
