Why is Java so comfy?

I don't know why, but every time I try to use Javascript and Python I feel lost in those functional gimmicks and fancy libraries.

Java feels like the warm, soft old couch at home.

Because you're more familiar with java than with js. If you would've used js on a daily basis for half a year and never touched java, the feeling would be the other way around

Because Java IDE has better auto complete?

The warm, soft couch... under which lies a devil, ready to devour me painfully if I sit on the couch 😨😨😂😂

That’s pretty much my experience with java 🤗🤗

I find that it's the opposite for me. With Java, I'm sometimes confused with the formatting and wonder why I have to put a certain thing in a certain place.

With Python, I didn't get that as much. I kinda just made sense (probably since it looks like English). And there's a nice feeling when you find out that there was a module for something you've always done by hand. Like when I found out that there's a standard csv module.

It probably just comes down to which one you have more experience with.

Having worked in python the past week or so I have definitely rekindled my love for it and the standard libraries and bare-bones python is certainly beautiful.

@AlexDeLarge meh lack of familiarity. But someone of your skillset would not have a hard time getting used to it and building awsome shit with it.
