I work with J2EE every day, especially Spring and Spring Boot.
I like it very much but when I am home I love tinkering with C++ (even tough I am a beginner in this language).
Is anyone else like this? It's like C++ has a misterious charm for me, not sure why. I also enjoy haskell and erlang, but keep at getting back at C++.

Same for me, but with Java (professional work) and Erlang OTP (hobby, beginner level)

Plus, just discovered ImGui and I love its simplicity! Very very well done, and even tough I am not proficient at all in game engines and graphical programming, I still have been able to use it thanks to the ready made examples for VS.
Just in the middle of a very small personal project, but it has proven to be a breath of fresh air :D

Never give up man, I also suck at cpp! Not everything you do has to be at professional level (as long as it is not work), so it's okay to do things just ok, not in the best/most idiomatic way :)
Look for good tutorials, learn the basics and enjoy your time!
