This is spot-on as I was shutting down Windows, which is updating, to boot back into arch

Of course this is the case when windows has a cheap hdd instead of ssd... You like win easy

lmao, I think that's "snorts coke.WHAT? Fuck yeah! Let's do this shit!"
  • 1
I've had both Windows Vista and Windows 7 get to the point where it would take them upwards to 5 minutes to shut down, even without updates. Nothing made me want to use Windows less. Never really had issues with 8 shutting down, although I have had Linux hang up on me with stop jobs a couple times.

    Haha so cute <3

Linux/Mac: you want to play a game? Wtf is that? I have Team Fortress 2...

Windows: Okay, what game shall we play? I have everything. Nice GTX 1080ti you have there.

Oh yes windows 10 boot on my i5 with 4gb of ram is really slow :) http://gph.is/2j9yrUw

@Jop- so long? https://gph.is/2jb6ZFN that's mine pc again... And yes really is unacceptable I could die in that amount of seconds /s
  • 1
@Jop- have new games that support them.

Very few new games support OpenGL and Vulkan (unfortunately).

@Jop- I don't care about videogames on pc, but as I made a bit of research I found this

    https://wheelsandchips.com/2016/03/...

    p.s.
metal works only on apple mac os and toy os ... at least directx works on a real videogame console

@Jop- I'm not saying it, I searched the internet and found these facts... please provide some facts that's false

wow an xbox one is not a game console? I didn't know was a fridge sorry!

Man...all of the fanboys and Linux elitism in here is stifling.

The Linux fan base is like the Rick and Morty fan base. The whole “you have to be smart to use it” crap.
  • 1
@deusprogrammer nah man don't take it like that (at least not from me) its basically just fun and games. I use Windows way more than I do Linux or OS X since I believe that a good software engineer must be well versed in all major operating systems and I find myself working more with Windows than anything else. There is elitism here, mostly with languages and such, but also with operating systems but this was not intended to make fun of windows users. If anything I would venture to say that windows might be the OS that I use the most!

@deusprogrammer yup, they're the only ones that use the only right os to use (of course I mean not all of them, who does that knows it :) )
  • 2
@AleCx04 cool man :). I run Windows, Mac OSX and various Linux distros. Use the right tool for the right job.
  • 1
@deusprogrammer exactly bro, right tool for the right job! :)

    So true bro

@shivayl if you read the comments above you would see that this was a joke and windows is actually my most used os :) you need to laugh at the things that you like every once in a while :)
  • 1
@shivayl i like all operating systems. Sometimes windows is too convenient.
  • 1
@Jop- you buy a computer and its there y know? People that just casually use a computer normally don't worry about configs or stuff like that. If someone wants a computer for casual web browsing its right there. Convenient.
  • 0
    @Jop- same, convenient
  • 0
So what's mac os, ios, android, linux (yes there are some pcs sold with it) :-)
  • 1
@dontbeevil i would gather than convenience is something that you can also get easily. Normally, the price range of macbooks are anything but convenient to most consumers, so no, not convenient. And I do know that some laptops come with windows, but at least in the U.S you will never see them on best buy, targer, sams club costco etc..you have to buy them online, so not convenient. Chrome is aight, cheap and easy to find.

    @AleCx04 gather that**

Linux snorting coke would explain why it only works well for such a short time (aka gets fucked beyond repair)
