You know what I've noticed? I've been applying for jobs lately, and it has occurred to me that most job postings for software developer require proficiency in a framework instead of a language.

Do these people even know what the fuck they want? If I know the fucking language then I can pick up the god damn framework pretty damn quickly

    Not necessarily, you might know C# but to pick up the ASP.NET Framework is a huge learning curve if you've never worked on web applications before. There are many other examples as well like angular and react etc. It's not a guarantee that you can easily pick up frameworks just because you know how the language itself works, frameworks are much more complicated and structured nowadays.
