    Well, I tried to switch over to intelliJ and it took forever just to get the code to run correctly. I was finally able to get it working, but since my school projects aren't big, I just use eclipse to quickly do it. intelliJ often has more steps to do the same process in my experience

    @agentwolf44 not sure :D i barely use IDEs but when doing android i liked android studio a lot more than eclipse

    @agentwolf44 It's because IntelliJ doesn't assume anything. I felt the same way as you did, until I began using Spring and Netbeans would throw up because it assumed something completely different. In IntelliJ, all I had to do was quickly configure what class to use as the main class, put in my environment arguments, and it runs perfectly.
    I can't tell if Eclipse is the same as Netbeans, but from what I've heard they aren't so different

    When I switched IDEs I knew it was going to feel shit, because I just didn't know anything about how the new one works.
    You have to learn the new software the hard and annoying way first.
    The switch was worth it though.
