Has anyone here tried to run Linux on a Dell Latitude 7480? And if so, how'd it go?

I can't decide on what laptop I want for Christmas, it's either a XPS 13 or a Latitude 7480. I know the xps has good Linux support but the 7480 seems to be a mixed bag. If I choose the xps, I'd have to get some dongles as well sine it doesn't even have a HDMI port. Opinions? 🤔

    @ThatDude My dad has a XPS 15. I'm jealous! I'd never want a laptop that big though.

    It's quite sad that we have to worry about these things in this day and age imo. I wish you could just buy and laptop and Linux would work on it out the box no probs.

    Linux on xps13 works like a charm though i'd recommend replacing the shitty Qualcomm atheros WiFi card by an Intel one (model 8260 price around 25$)

    @agentwolf44 I carry my laptop in a backpack all day in school. A 17" laptop would be way to heavy for me.

    I actually carry my 17" all day at school...
    And I'm even parked a km away from school that I have to walk Everytime
