Why do some devs who work for corpos have a superiority complex?

“Oh I cannot imagine working on a small team of 3 people (2 devs, 1 designer) on a website”, saying it like if he was disgusted. “The team I work in has 40 people”, with a hint of superiority in his voice.

Bro, chill for a moment, it ain’t a race to the top.

    "As an ex-Amazon, ex-Google, ex-Meta, you have to listen to me because obviously I have worked in FAANG ...." blah blah blah.

    Working for corpo is not bad in on itself, it's when the people lose this sense that they're still serving their boss, same as small teams/startups.

    I only respect opinions of people who have established their own company as a developer and then made it. But unfortunately, those people aren't as loud as the FAANG/startups devs.

    because devs are people [citation needed], and people are bastards.

    @SidTheITGuy > "ex-Amazon, ex-Google, ex-Meta"
    It's quite an achievement to be such a bad developer as to get fired from all those companies.

    @cafecortado I was quoting TechLead... isn't it what that douchebag says?

    Because they suck, only thing they can do is trash talking, their code sucks because they got fucked up with corporate processes that push them to certain code patterns that are bloated shit that you can replace with couple of lines.

    Am I the only one here who prefer to work in small team of 3 people than a team with 40 people?

    @cho-uc yep I kinda miss working in a small team. Less time talking with people (coordination/meetings/etc) and more time doing actual work.

    @cho-uc No you aren't. I work alone mostly, but I have worked in larger teams before, I don't need useless toxiciity, favoritism, groupism or some shit like that. I don't have the energy for it anymore.
