Ok so there are a lot of things out there like #WhyIUseLinux, well as a Linux lover that is stuck using windows, I say we start a 'why I use windows' discussion.

For me, I'm stuck on windows simply because the game development engine I use is only on windows and mac and doesn't seem to play nicrly when run on a VM, if the software was released on Linux I would swap over in a heart beat!

I would have preferred Mac over windows :D

Literally only reason I have a Windows install, is to play overwatch.
    Which i even rarely do..
The amount of sheep's & toxic cunts in solo queue..

I use Windows become I like its ecosystem. Various Microsoft programs synergize well together. Another reason is gaming of course and finally is support of legacy applications.

Gaming, mostly. For day-to-day tasks, I find it easier for myself and others to use.

Anything even remotely technical, Linux is king, but for ease of use (especially for non-technical people) I'd pick Windows or OSX any day.

Right now, the only big use I have for Windows is literally just GPU stuff. I think Nvidia and AMD should really start supporting for Linux. I guess driver support is gonna be hard, but I think now that there are actually other uses than gaming, they have a much better incentive to support it now. I think GPU related stuff is pretty much the only reason why people still even dual boot windows. I certainly only do it for that reason. And games. Don't forget games.
Direct x seems to be simultaneously the worst and the best decision Microsoft made.
