    Picture unclear, got my Java stuck in toaster.

    If you assume the rest of the apps are built with react native or xamarin, these numbers get fairly impressive.

    @mzeffect why would u assume horseshit tho
  • 3
    @BindView because assumption is the only thing I can offer when it comes to mobile app development. And because I hate Java and it causes me to lean towards alternatives.

    @BindView oh I see you're a java developer. I do more Go nowadays. I'm indeed a JS dev in my most recent role though. Also had a few years of C# and python, but Java was always like a steaming pile of shite for me, and felt no urge to pursue it (who willingly pursues shit anyway?) To each of their own tho.

    @mzeffect go? You mean the google Rust implementation? Hows that 12th stick of ram coming along?
  • 2
    @BindView I find the use of quotes there very offensive.

    Who gives a shit use what you want, what's the point of fighting over who uses what language?

    Spoiler: None

    @balte I feel our friend here is just letting out some steam that built up by flexing some online muscles. I assume no harm :)

    @BindView I managed to donate 4 ram sticks recently to charity after uninstalling the JDK.

    In 5-10 years it will surpass Java

    Will be like obj C vs Swift in iOS but slower and more gradual

    @Chlodovechus I think that's really optimistic...look at all the failed windows versions, and yet the majority of the market still use it.

    @perfectdark
    Every mid-senior(2-4 years) Android dev I know is starting to use it here and there

    @Chlodovechus I guess I'm just stuck in large corps who refuse new things...
