have you tried building a dev server so you have something to work with that isn’t prod?

@C0D4 So many servers, so little time. Boss always wants something done _*NOW*_ so we have to do it live.

@scytheri0n I can understand the time pressure, all of the projects I currently manage started without dev environments / git due to the “we need this now”

Save yourself some stress and in your down time build dev environments with git, if you can’t dedicate some time to do it, or start breaking things in prod to force the fact that a dev environment would allow for extensive testing before going to prod.

I took the latter with mine 😎
I only have 1 legacy project remaining that’s about a decade old to finish an environment for and get it working.

Less stress == happy dev!!

@C0D4 Yeah it's a New Years Resolution for 2018. Because although we have dev sites for the larger stuff, we still don't use git for them (yet). 2018 is the Year of Process Optimisation 😝
