RageExpress54185dI work with legacy software and they overengineered it a lot through the 15 years. I only have 1 and 2 letter tags in most xmls. I don't know what they do but it seems like I don't have to.

Your tags are probably more specific than that, but if you were a brilliant architect, the XML files were important enough to build your entire nomenclature around them, and your domain lent itself to metaphors, your tag names should be 6 characters on average.
