I had a shit childhood where I wasn't even allowed to go outside, which resulted in social anxiety and stutter / inability to talk... poor social skills probably

also having to worry about food all the time,
not having any privacy, being questioned about any info a 140 IQ physicist could find about you (and later stalking of me as an adult)

I guess I was fine at ignoring all the comments and suggestions

I learned how to rebel and get things I want in impossible circumstances

but I wouldn't be mad at somebody for having a good childhood. actually I think in some ways they're at a disadvantage

the only reason I'm good with computers is because we were so poor and I couldn't do anything else. the computer was an infinite world where things didn't cost and nobody could stop you

    > “where things didn’t cost”

This mentality hurts me to this day. My pet projects HAS to work using free tools. I wish I was comfortable with things having costs and benefits.
