I swear IBM is just incapable of making a product that doesn’t fucking suck. I am terrified of their work with Quantum Computer research...because I just know they will fuck that up too.

I feel like there has to be a story behind this anger.

The story is that my company uses nothing but IBM products. From our IDE to our version control. All of it is IBM, and it is all just awful.

@balte yep. The line is called “Rational”. And there is nothing rational about it.

For example they took Eclipse which we can all agree is already a bloated IDE, but then IBM takes their secret sauce (here’s a hint, it comes from an orifice on a human body and...it’s shit...it’s pure shit) and injects it into the already questionable IDE until it is leaking brown fluid and begging for a gun and a single bullet to put itself out of its painful existence. And they gave it a cute name...”Rationale Software Architect”. A truly rational software architecture would install this IDE behind a barn and empty two shotgun barrels into it’s java process.

@deusprogrammer I feel you. My company is currently moving away from IBM and I praise the heavens everyday for being allowed to choose my own ide and to use git and jira instead of Jazz.

I 100% agree with you there. My company exists to fix IBMs mistakes. We do very well.
